I8 Noodles is probably the best Asian cuisine in the Mascot area, prices are medium and the taste is impeccable and the service is friendly.

I call this place the CHUM BUCKET. People will ask why and I say, because it's cheap and you get a bucket of food! I'm a Mascot local and when this place came, I was very happy as coming up with a quick fix meal on those hectic days for my husbands Asian appetite (by that, I mean that he only really likes to eat Asian food) became a lot easier.

For about $8 you can get a large container with fried rice and two dishes. These are the large plastic containers too! They pour the sauce on deep fried pork on the last minute, just before putting into the container so you don’t end up with a soggy sweet and sour pork dish. As for the a la carte, try their pork chop dishes, we like the red vinegar one, you won't be disappointed with that and their salt and pepper squid isn't bad, a bit saltier than I had expected. If you want wok fried noodles, they're average, just as you would buy them in noodle bars, but I’m a sucker for ho fan noodles...noodles always taste good when your in the noodle mood. Their soup noodles are average. If you cook with vegeta and stock cubes, it pretty much tastes like that and water, not much was put into the imagination when coming up with the stock. I can't say that I've tried the laksa though.

This is like a little take out joint where you can eat in, but wouldn't bring more than 4 people as they only have about 3-4 tables of 4 and about 5-6 chairs on the side table. Service is fast on normal days, the staff are friendly, the place is clean and good value for money as the servings are huge. My advice for those who want this for lunch and have only 1/2 hour break, order over the phone if you aren't having what's on the hot plates to avoid waiting 20 minutes for a meal to be cooked because it gets so busy during lunch. I DO!

The variety of the food is typical Chinese but it's very fresh and the servings are very large. Very good value. Will definitely be back for cheap eats. Convenient location.

I really don't see much rationale for the other extremely positive reviews for this place. It's average at best, and being on Botany Road without soundproofing is terrible.

Eaten there many a time and enjoy the variety and freshness of the food. Willing to change the menu to cater for fussy eaters.

This place is honestly one of the best local Pan-Asian take away joints you'll find. The servings are massive: 2 people can usually share a single serve for dinner, which isn-t bad value for $8 - $9 between us! The menu is huge, the ingredients are fresh, the meat they use is super lean (especially the BBQ Pork - a rarity), and the staff never fail to be genuinely friendly. You can also eat in if you want for no extra charge.

Having moved to Mascot recently, I thought I'd try out the local Chinese cuisine

18 noodles was a pretty good experience in many ways. I had the traditional special fried rice and beef with black bean sauce and stir fried vegetables. Very good tucker indeed, fast service, very hospitable and clean. Price wise not the cheapest but definitely got what I paid for, all in all worth every cent. Ambience was ok as many diffrent people came in and it sort of has a family atmosphere. Big menu, will be back for sure.
