Hurricane's will truly sweep you off your feet with their gastronomic offerings. First, there's their gargantum servings of tempting steaks. A meat lover's haven, they also have salads of grilled beef, chicken, and lamb for starters. There are mains of cutlets, burgers, sausages, chicken and seafood. Then there's their delectable desserts that, in itself, are a good reason for a visit.
Hurricane's complements their well-sourced good food with a delightful listing of beverages. They have tea, port, wine, coffee, grappa, liquor, and cocktails for a lovely ending to a beautiful meal. Open daily, Hurricane's is often packed with locals who come for dinner or late dining. While the sweet tooth also drop by for an after-dinner treat or for takeaways of pre-ordered irresistible cakes.

We dined at Hurricane's on Sat night. The service was terrible. Our waiter was very rude and abrupt. My plate of ribs was ice cold. I never send food back, but I had too. Cold ribs is disgusting. Apparently, you have to ask for the 'complementary bread'. We asked three different waiters and it still never arrived.

Pretty expensive for what you are receiving however I guess thats what you get for a harbourside restaurant with such a name. The pork ribs are delicious though. The waiter that we had was luckily very friendly and quick to serve. I do recommend it though.

Never have a felt more ripped off before, $23 for a burger that had 3 oinion ringsm a piece of lettuce the half the size of a $5 note and meet that tasted like nothing. When you are paying $23 for a burger you expect something that is at least as good as a Mcdonalds burger not something that looks less appealing than something that has been sitting in the road house servery for the last 2hours. The taste was so underwhelming. At these prices for what was a burger not even worth $5 you will never see me there again, no matter how well located you are.

Ribs are great and the location was impeccable. However, that is all that is going for Hurricane's as well as its big name.

Tried to call Hurricanes 10 times on the day of reservation, waited up to 15min each time--never got to speak to anyone. I was not made aware cake was BYO at Brighton. I was not made aware that the $50 set menu not available at Brighton, which caused a lot of problems--website needs updating to include these things! Not enough waiter and waitresses at Brighton, took over an hour before we were served for drinks and 90mins before we ordered food. Food was delicious but there was too much for even the men at our table--serve half the amount and cut the price would be better. Light were on and off throughout night--we assumed for earth hour as we weren't told. It would have been nice to have more candlelight to eat our entree. It was way too noisy and despite the food being tasty I am not likely to go there again or recommend it.

We dined at the new Brighton le sands restaurant, it was the noisiest restaurant I have ever been too bar none, even our kids thought it was noisy. The so called world famous ribs were a complete fail, not baby back but huge pork ribs with no meet on them and dry beyond belief, even the children did not like their burgers which is quite a feat to have kids not like a cheeseburger. The seating is extremely uncomfortable to say the least also. For $160 for two adults to have a main each, 2 soft drinks and a beer was extremely over priced for poor cafe quality food. Epic fail this restaurant, would never eat there again even if someone else paid. Terrible!

I've been many times with friends and family. My experience varies, at times they are great, other times not so much. Their prices have crept up over the years, but because they are so popular, I guess they can do anything.
The only bad experience I've had, I ordered a 1kg T-bone steak, medium rare, it had a lot of nerves and wasn't as enjoyable as other times. I put it down to a bad experience.
I would definitely go back, again. I probably prefer their Darling Harbour location rather than Bondi, it always feels too cramped.

It took a while for our steak and pork ribs to come out , love the smokey flavour of charred mea but my steak was average. The wine list was quite good but very difficult to get the staff attention, very slow service!

There's always lines outside Hurricane's and that's because they do the best ribs in Sydney, hands down. They have a flavoursome marinade which makes their ribs so addictive and tender, even though they're quite pricey. Book ahead if you're planning to go, especially if you're going in a group.

Love this place! Ever since this opened been coming here instead of bondi. The Ribs is a must here! Only 2 dishes for me, the ribs or the lamb cutlets. Ribs are nice and tender filled with flavour that will explode in your mouth. Oysters here weren't as fresh imo and considering fish markets are down the road, maybe best to leave oysters at the fish market. The only thing that really upset me is when I saw a lady swap the fries for mash and next time I came I asked for the same thing and got denied.
Bad.. Service, slow. Good.. Love the food! Service..Bad.
