Delicious food though expensive. Certainly the extra 10% was unwelcome. Service excellent. Had to wait a little while for food but it is freshly cooked so worth it and the ambience is good. The place is tiny and always packed, obviously popular. Seems the waitresses are travellers without experience and may forget something occasionally but so what. Sorry it's closed. Lovely to sit outside and watch the world go by.

Booked for 8.45 on a Saturday night and eventually got to sit down at 9.20. Orders were taken promptly by friendly staff but we waited for over an hour for the food to come. Food was good but not exceptional and definitely not value for money. Sitting outside next to the busy bus stop of Bondi's main drag does not add to the occasion and the prices were certainly. In one word - over-priced.

It's sad that Hugo's Bondi is shutting down. Two years ago, I went there every Saturday morning for breakfast for about 6 months. Despite always being freezing as there is no direct sunlight, they always gave you blankets so you could enjoy al fresco dining, watching the beach and passers by. For food, we always went as a group of 6, give or take, and without fail, there would be an error every time -something forgotten, someone given something they requested to be omitted.

They do a good bircher muesli and the boys love the Big Breakfast. The staff are a lot less pretentious than Hugo's Bar Pizza although are very ditzy - constantly forgetting drinks, bringing out the wrong type of water. If it wasn't shutting down, I would recommend friends from overseas try it for a taste of Sydney.

Went for farewell dinner on a Sat night, cocktails were great, but expensive. Service was good until the room filled up, and went downhill fast (even though they have ample waiting staff compared to other fine dining restaurants). Bill arrived for over a $1000 and then they added 10% surchage on top of this bill. Not happy!!! Would not go back to this restaurant, as we left feeling disappointed & ripped off.

Great food, very good service and good atmosphere. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. The steak dish was delicious. Make sure to book ahead, this prevents long unnecessary waiting time.

Arrived 10 mins late for booking and they still hadnt set up our table booking, so we waited in the squished bar area, which was difficult given the close proximity of other diners, waiters running around etc. We dined here on a Sat night with a group of people, and got the set menu (choice of 2 or 3 courses) - not bad, but would suggest buying from a la carte as it is better choice, and value. Was disappointed with the fact when the bill came that they added a 10% service fee!! Was very surprised as this was not a Sunday, and we are in Sydney, not America. Usually we tip for good service, but thought that the service was adequate & not worthy of the 10%.

Been here a number of times for a relaxing sunday breakfast. Its generally consistent, with the food being quickly served, delicious and well presented. Highly recommend scrambled eggs on the english muffin with salmon and hollandaise sauce- the caviar is a fantastic addition! Nice view of the beach, service is quite good although sometimes it gets so busy its hard to get hold of a member of staff. Aside from that, its well worth the visit, especially for tourists.

Amazing amazing have eaten in soe of the world best and this is definitely up there kids. Bondi resturant is much better than the Kings Cross eatery but still wonderful. Bondi just can't be beaten....Well done

The food is great, although a little expensive. It is well worth what you pay. The atmosphere is great. We were given a table right at the window overlooking Bondi Beach. A great night and the staff are really friendly and welcoming. Recommended to all.
