This is one the best Chinese in Haymarket/Ultimo and is hidden away which is good for those who know where it is! The steamed veg dumplings are excellent and salt and pepper tofu are highly recommended. I'm told the mud crab served here is fantastic. Next time then.

Great Delicate Vegetable dumplings tasted freshly made. Definitely try the seafood specials, we got salt and pepper prawns that were simply flavored allowing the perfectly cooked fresh prawn flavor to be the highlight of the dish, truly Cantonese. Noodles we got were average but still quite tasty.

Ambience is fairly typical from what I saw, kind of an old school decor but not off putting. Service was very attentive, just need to do the typical wave down the waiter technique which can be rude in some western restaurants but totally fine here. There is better Chinese food out there but we left very happy, worth a visit.

Had 10 guest and went to House of Guangzhou based on its rating on Eatability.com.au. Excellent choice, was approx. $35/head but it was worth it. Many haymarket restaurant are over rated. I would say this is one of the better ones there. Loved the Peking SpareRibs which came boneless.

Nice variety of different meals to eat, not oily like other chinese restaurant. Reasonable price.

Firstly. Service is great. We were a 10 person group, seated upstairs on a Friday night. We ordered the Banquet No. 2 for $38.00. We enjoyed the seafood with green vegetables, and we really enjoyed our mixed entrees. Nothing is special about the chicken, as it was plain, and served on Prawn chips.

We were supposed to get a Fruit salad for dessert Butall we got was a tray oranges, cut into 4 pieces. This is not fruit salad. So quite misleading.

Great food. Lovely entrees and enjoyed the chicken and corn soup. All the dishes we shared were lovely. Crispy skin chicken and steamed fish were fab!

We go here all the time for the fabulous steamed vegetable dumplings which although not the cheapest are the best in town. The salt and pepper tofu is another stand out, crispy on the outside and smooth on the inside with lots of spice. The owners are lovely and helpful and you can tell they love what they do and take pride in their restaurant. I am always surprised that is it not busier at lunchtime during the week, but that means there is always a table for us which is great.

I really like this place, the food is so nice, we had the banquet menu, it was nice and quite so was good as I had a business lunch, good food and wine. I think I will go on the weekend and take my partner, seems like the right place for a romantic dinner too.

Took some friends here for a nice long lunch on Friday. The food was good and not oily like some Chinese food can be. The veg pancakes, prawn dumplings and mixed entree were our starters, and all were good. Mains included salt and pepper prawns, honey prawns, salt and pepper tofu, lemon chicken, a duck dish (as well as fried noodle and sprouts, and some rice).

They were all delicious, especially the two salt and pepper dishes. The alcohol menu was decent enough, as were the prices. The service was very friendly and helpful, in fact, our waitress was a delightful and funny lady. We all left there very full and pleased. Yes, I'll definitely be back.

A stand out from other Chinese restaurants in the Haymarket area! Very clean, modern Chinese decor, quiet, helpful caring staff. Just a perfect place to meet. The food quality was excellent with large generous servings. The salt & pepper squid just melted in your mouth, the prawns were delicious, the sizzling lamb just so tender, the chicken with black bean sauce was enormous & very yummy & off course the traditional Chinese greens very just perfect. We had some overseas visitors with kids & the staff very absolutely brilliant in the way they looked after them. Everyone enjoyed. Highly recommended.
