Definitely a cheaper option if you eat at night. Prices are almost on par to food court food but, unfortunately, so is the food. Initially I was impressed with the chicken tikka and cheese naan, but maybe thats because I was hungry. The curries I had was not good, the dhal didn't have taste and the chicken curry I had was a little better. There isn't much ambience to this place but like I said, a cheap option for dinner.

Best little place around. Definitely would not eat in but as a take away restaurant, a family favourite. My kids and husband are always happy when the smell of Indian resonates into the house when I pick up food here.

I have been going to Hothi's in Epping for many years with my family. I moved to Burwood a few years ago and was pleasantly surprised when they had Hothi's in Burwood Westfield. The beef vindaloo and chicken tikka are amazing. Would love the curries to be a lot hotter though. Their garlic naan are fluffy and to die for.
Glad they are still local for me.

We are local and have been getting take-aways from Hothi's for a few years now. Food is good and consistent and we feed a family of four (I haven't included my gormless 14yo son who prefers 2 minute noodles) for around $40-$45 with enough left over for some lunch or snacks the following day. If you phone your order through they will have it ready for you straight away.

You can also ask for bhatura (which they don't prepare unless ordered and doesn't appear on the menu any more) which is a much nicer bread than naan - thick and buttery by comparison. Food is always fresh (busy kitchen staff attest to this) and if you're there when it's busy you will see the containers under the glass counter being filled regularly.

Service is always with a smile and good value all around. Decor is very sparse and crude, but I've actually seen young couples having romantic meals in amongst the hub-bub of the commuter take-away crowd!! All good.

I must say what a horrible experience I have had. Good value I don’t think so there was hardly any meat in the curry which was so watery and tasteless.
The naan was so dry and the worst I have ever had.
Ok service but the waitress was hardly attentive always chatting away with a table close by us the whole time we were there. Will never go back.

I went to Hothis after seeing the reviews on this website to see for myself if its good as everyone says. To my delight the service is great, friendly constant smiling. I even managed to have a 5 minutes conversation with the staff which at other places they don't seem to chat to customers. The food is tasty with actual flavours you can taste, non of this watery taste. The food is surprisingly cheap and I will come back for more curries and a chat. Nice to see staff that actually take time to say thank you, how are you and even have a chat to make you feel welcome. Good on you Hothis.

After reading Hothi's review online, we decided to sample this local eatery for lunch today. The restaurant is casual but very clean, and the decor is simple. The food on display looked very fresh, and there was no skin on the food as is sometimes seen in takeaway style restaurants where food has been left to sit.

The naan bread was light and fluffy, with the cheese naan being the stand out flavour. This place is great in terms of value for money - especially if you're a uni student. We got 2 small meat curries, 1 small vegetable curry, 2 lassis, 2 naan bread and 1 medium rice for only $30! This is so cheap considering we have enough left over food to last for dinner tonight and lunch tomorrow! Service was reserved but friendly.

The only thing that we would have liked more of was more heat in the vindaloo dishes - they were more medium heat than hot.

Pretty decent for your average take away joint. Got a small rice, small meat curry and a cheese naan for under $10.. good value. Friendly service and the food displayed didn't look like it was sitting out for ages. My only problem is that it's not open on a Sunday.. What is with that??
