The ambience is good and the attitude of the staff is exemplary. The service could be vastly improved upon because when you go to a restaurant where the time from taking the order to actually having the food on your table is in the vicinity of 50 minutes, the last thing you want to see is patrons who were seated after you being served before you were.

The staff had to be reminded to serve drinks when half an hour had passed without them being brought to us. With the specials being around the $25 price point which is quite high for an Indian eatery in the suburbs, there is a high expectation of it. A chilli lamb and prawn malabari was ordered and the lamb chilli was sweetish though the meat was cooked well and the gravy in prawn dish was bereft of any depth or flavor.

90% of the patrons were Anglo and maybe there was a case of blanding dishes out to suit the western palate. Being an Indian who has been out dining with Anglo Aussies very often I am in a position to say that what is appreciated is a chef putting the stake in the ground and turning out dishes the way it should taste originally and not sell your soul to pander to the "I like Indian food but it's got to taste like a meat pie" diner.

It is an expensive restaurant. Did not find the value for such pricey menu. Very crammed. You pay the price of Sydney CBD for a local suburban crammed restaurant. There are just as good and cheaper around the area. On top of these prices, you get charged a surcharge for credit card payment, even when the bill is over $80. Disappointed with the overall result. I will not be recommending the place, unless you don't care about what they charge.

I was very impressed with the food - deep, rich, well developed flavor and the meat was tender, falling off the bone - obviously cooked slowly and allowing all the spices to blend. The garlic prawn appetizer special was lovely and generous - The lamb dish was tender and spiced perfectly. We are returning this week with friends and looking forward to it.

I recently dined a Hotel Saravana Bhavan last Tuesday and before I start, let me just say how wonderful it was. It had the most beautiful atmosphere and ambience. The coloured feature wall contrasted the other wall perfectly. There were many remnants from India that were fantastic! The food was beautiful. I loved it in all its complexity of flavours and herbs and spices. The waiters and waitresses were very attentive and friendly. It is a wonderful place to go to. The dosai was very large and very worth the money I paid for it. All in all, I Highly recommend this place and can't wait for the next time I do go back.

The food was great, service excelled. The food was fresh and therefore appreciably we had to wait to get our food. If you are in a rush and want cheap food Mcdonalds is the way to go. If you want a decent meal, freshly cooked and want to be pampered and feel special visit the restaurant as our visit was special and we will be back.

I recently got take away, when I was told of the total price, I thought he had made a mistake but viewed the menu and noticed that meals were close to $20 each. So when all added up it was way too much for local suburban Indian. After paying he told me it would be a 40 min wait even though the restaurant was empty! If he had told me this at first I would have got quick takeout from across the road, but I didnt want to go to the trouble of getting card out etc. I didnt really want to be waiting that long for a takeaway order - Won't go back as too expensive, even if the food is good. There is just as good and cheaper around the area.

Very nice Indian/Sri Lankan food in the middle of Croydon. This would be the best and freshest samosas I have ever eaten. The prices are a little high but the service is excellent and you get very good food.

This is our favourite Indian restaurant. After trying indiian restaurants across Sydney this is the only place that excels in the flavour of their dishes balancing it perfectly with the chilli heat that suits you. The service is excellent with the staff always friendly. Prices are very reasonble. The meal sizes are also quite generous. We have tried most of the menu over the last two years and haven't been unhappy with anything.

Very nice restaurant, great service and appealing decor to match. I had a vegetarian entree and main, both great and my partner had lamb chops for entree and chicken tickka masala, he liked them both. The garlic nann was mouth watering. There was enough food left over to take home for lunch the next day. Very impressed with this restaurant and I am sure I will become a regular customer.
