Great value and nice chilled out pub. Always get the 7.90 steak and mash-can't go wrong there. Early in the week is usually a bit better as can get a bit loud later in the week. Haven't tried upstairs yet but will next time.

Great Value! I'm over going out and spending over $80 for mediocre food in Sydney. Hotel Mosman has a great vibe, especially upstairs on the balcony, the food is tasty and such good value, you can't go past $7.90 for a steak, and mash and sauce when some places charge you $2.50 for sauce! The daily specials are always appealing as well. There is a great range of wine and cider as well. We drop in here regularly on the way home from work and we always leave more then satisfied.

Ordered the chicken parmigiana which came with chips. Chips and parmigiana were very over cooked and subsequently over chewy and very bland. (Nearly burnt!). Very little tomato sauce and absolutely no flavour to the food. My husband ordered the steak which was burnt on one side amd extremely chewy. I have had some good meals in the past and so was very disappointed. I would not come back.

Been here twice and will now drop by regularly. The value is excellent. To purchase a steak and mash for less than $8 is great and for it to be of a high quality as well is impressive. Rocket salad is good. Salt and pepper squid is not bad.

Only have eaten down stairs (haven't been upstairs) and the ambience is a bit off, acoustics of the room seems loud (although I must say it was full house) and if you sit too close to the entry you can smell a great deal of smoke from the smokers area. The food and value overrides this.

Good place, check it out if you're local.

Like most of the reviewers, the duck offers great value and consistent food and service. I usually come here for the 7.90 porterhouse as a main, I've never left disappointed. I share an entree, salad and dessert, the perfect way to eat out on the cheap.

A beautiful room in an average hotel. Would not expect to find a semi decent menu and such nice decor in this pub so my hubby and I gave this place the benefit of the doubt. I had the squid which was a touch to salty and my husband had a steak which despite being cooked well, had a big piece of sinew running through the middle of it.

The service is ok when available and the value is a little bit steep for what you get.
We probably will give a second chance though because I can really see potential in this place.

We have been going to this pub for over five years now. While the "$5" steak has increased in price over the years it still represents excellent value and they now have a wider range of value meal selections. Over the years we have had some variability in the quality of steaks, but overall this is a good value establishment with good quality meals.

Two of us went (both guys over 40) and we had a great time, what a value - if you go for the daily specials starting from 7.95 for a 300g Steak – and then cooked to perfection! In addition, the Lamb Shanks (Daily Special on the night – only $13.50) just to die for. Great selection of well-priced wines by the glass.

Trendy for the young ones but still not too noisy. Service young, friendly and with a can not do too much attitude. The wait staff could not do enough for us they were great. Overall, this place rocks and is great value – very clean and nice surroundings. Check out parking though there is good parking in the Bridge Point Shopping Centre.

Very enjoyable evening, service very attentive, friendly and fast. We will definitely be back again (been there before).

Have always enjoyed The Duck. Downstairs has simple quick meals and upstairs has good quality, more formal meals. Upstairs meals are an 8/10, downstairs a 6. A great pub for both formal and casual meetings.

The Duck is a fabulous local pub, you get pub food and pub drinks at pub prices, isn't that why you go to a pub that offers $7.90 steaks?! The Upper Duck (aka: upstairs) offers great and ambience and I give them points for trying with the cocktail menu, lets not forget it's a pub!
