Had a very bad experience here tonight. Entrees were very nice but mains were a disaster. Ordered paella but it was initially cold, then over heated. Mussels were chewy, calamari chewy, I had it was entree and it was very nice. After complaining I have been asked not to return to the restaurant and eat next door. Is this because next door can cook Paella? Maybe try it.

Eight of us dined here on a Saturday night and all of us remarked how good the food was, fresh, tasty, well presented and good sized serves. We had Mezza plates, calamari, BBQ ribs, paella and salmon and all were praised. The chef even had a $21 sirloin steak, chips and salad special which looked good at a neighbouring table. The service was friendly and efficient and the beer glasses are frosty cold. With BYO wine it came to about $70 a double. We'll be back!

Honolulu Grill used to be my favourite cafe style restaurant in Manly. The new senior staffs, however, deliver a very lackluster service. The new menu doesn't appeal to me either. I suggest you go next door to somewhere else.

I went here with my friends the other weekend for breakfast. I had poached eggs on wholemeal toast with avocado, and being an absolute fan about poached eggs these were not so great, too vinegary. Service was not so great either, had to wait 20 minutes to order. Won't be in any rush to go back.

After a long time we back in honolulu for having dinner but looks all management and menu change. Omg it's real good real good & value of food I find and im real impress with the chef and went back to say thanks for dinner but he wasn't in kitchen. Next day back again for lunch which makes me feel back again.. Well done honolulu!

A group of us ate there for breakfast on Sunday. We arrived and were seated at 10 am, we received menus within 5 minutes or so. But then we were left to wait for 45 minutes and only had our order taken because I pulled the waitress aside. The place was very busy (of course to be expected on a sunny sunday morning) but I think at least two or three more staff members wouldn't go astray.

The food was received at 11.30 am, an hour and a half after being seated. The food was good and value for money was very good. Trying to pay for the bill was another hassle, the barista was too busy having a chat with another staff member to step over to the cash register and sort us out.

Extremely poor service aside though, great food and value for money. Pretty sure we won't be heading back in a hurry though.

My husband and I really enjoyed this place we have lived in manly for 23 years and never been to this restaurant I had the special NY steak with hollanaise it was fantastic and the price was great, my husband had the Nachos as he does at most places and said it was one of the best he has had. The atmosphere was great it was a winters night and we sat out the front with the heaters on, we will definitely be back.

This used to be one of my favorite places. The previous owner really valued the customers loyalty offers and the friendliest staff ever. The new management are clearly not interested in the customers and seems to only focus on cutting costs. This by decreasing the value given to customers rather than making sure they are happy and return to spend more.

They have replaced the professional friendly, happy wait staff with low budget, untrained uncaring students and holiday workers. The original chef is still there and he is amazing and makes the best breakfasts. The food is great and they have their own Hollandais sauce to die for! He is really doing a great job and he puts all is energy and passion into his food and to please the customers. The coffee man is great too, happy and making great coffees! They are the reason why I am still coming back.

Have been to Honolulu Grill a couple of times and found the food really tasty and the prices were fairly average. Everyone that have been there have found the food and the service great.
