If I can give the service negative scores, I would.
We have ordered takeaway from this place many times and in recent months it appears they have either changed hands or employed some really rude staff.
They got one of my orders wrong and, unfortunately, I paid before they brought it out and they forced me to take the wrong order and refuse to provide a refund and correct the order. They then in turn told me that it was my fault that They got it wrong and said better luck next time.
In addition to the above, simply ignored me and said that they need to serve another customer that was waiting in line.
This place used to be good but I will not be returning until they change their current staff. Make sure you check your orders before paying as the current staffs are despicable.

Definitely a cheap place to eat with an amazing variety of choices to suit all tastes. It's a bit of a mish-mash of both chinese and western style dishes to choose from (there's spaghetti and sandwiches). Food is alright, and portions are massive (took away half). Therefore pretty good value.

The favourite of the degens. It is known that swampies from Chatswood likes the weird fish with egg dish (the only person besides swampy to like this dish is Hoongfish, of the poker fame, please also see SMH's Fat Noodle review).
Whilst there is excellent value (which is the only reason we all go there), it is not advisable unless you go with a manager who can order in Cantonese and an ex cop with his pork ribs and Bobos. Otherwise, the pork belly and the brisket are excellent choices.

Had high hopes for a tasty HK style diner particularly after a recent trip to HK this year. Food is mediocre but cheap. The braised beef noodle soup with egg noodles was too fatty (the beef had not been braised for long enough) though I did enjoy my milky iced tea. The food was definitely cheap, but this was a case of "you get what you pay for".

The Positive: They have a large selection of hong kong chinese food. The food is cheap (avg $8.50 AUD for fried noodles, $7 AUD for soup if you order from the menu), they also have lunch special (4 choices) which range from $7.90 AUD to $9 AUD with free hot drink or 60c more if you want to change it to cold drinks. They also have a breakfast menu (ends around 11:30 am) and afternoon tea menu which starts from 2:30 pm to 5 (I think). But apart from being cheaper than other chinese cafes in Chatswood, that is about it.
The Negative: When this cafe first open, the quality of food is not great but staff service was good. And because of the cheap price, it attracts a lot of Asian customers. However, after a few years in Chatswood, the food and especially the staff quality has gone down.
Only one or two of them understand and speak english but fortunately the menu is in chinese and english, so you can point to them what you want. But this would mean english speaking customers would miss out on the specials and some nicer chinese dishes (as they are written in chinese only on the walls).
Since the food is on the cheaper end, you get what you pay for. The staff are rude and all seem to be in a hurry and force you to order and give you attitude if you are slow. The common problem is they often forget to pass order to the kitchen, which is understandable if the place is very busy, but they still do it when they are not. Me and my husband come to this place for lunch at least once a month, and 50% of the time, they would forget one of our dishes.
The problem is, they do not care even if your friends finish all their meals, they will come over and collect your friends' empty dishes and don't have the courtesy to ask if you are still waiting for your food. And if this happen to you, you would need to remind them a few times and make sure you tell different people, as some would just ignore you which they do 90% of the time. When the food finally comes, they won't apologize, they just put it on the edge of the table, don't say a word and give you a feeling that you have bothered them so much and should never complained.
My advice is do not go there! Unless you don't mind rude staff and can't find your way to the cheap asian food court which offer better food and definitely friendlier service.

Passable overall, nothing distinct. We had a spicy crispy chicken that was ok although it came in what looked like a sea of store bought Thai chilli sauce diluted with water. Veg was old and tough, tofu pot was good.
There are better options around and this doesn't stand out in terms of price, flavour or anything much at all. Its location doesn't help much either.

Love the food, one of the best Hong Kong style food restaurants out there. A great variety is given. The prices are great (especially afternoon tea and breakfast) and the service is too.

Cheap but not so cheerful. The food is definitely good value, especially with the afternoon tea set menu's. It's very HK style with a twist on Asianised-Western food but it's not a great feed. It's adequate when you want something quick, something cheap and something filling. Wouldn't make it a point to go back but it's okay.

Cheap and cheerful. Perfect for eating out during the week when you don't feel like cooking. Large portions and fast service coupled with great prices.
