Had a fantastic meal here and really enjoyed it. Especially loved the tasty and very different cavalero nero and brussels sprout salad. The service was great too - our waiter was delightful. Good value and highly recommended.

I like the small but interesting menu. I prefer a place that does a few things well rather than too many things in a mediocre way. There were at least 3 or 4 things I could have chosen. Unfortunately the chicken was off but at least it made my choice easier. Had the mushroom risotto which was delicious, probably the best I've ever had. I liked the fact that the pasta/rissoto comes in entree and main and entree was definitely enough for me as I was sharing a couple of side dishes as well. Loved the interesting zucchini salad with the zucchini sliced finely so that it takes the place of lettuce. Also great fries, not those skinny ones but decent medium size chips where you can taste the potato. Wines not too bad but shame it's not BYO. I will definitely go back.

I went here two days in a row for breakfast because it is just so delicious and very different from your standard Sydney offerings. Service is extremely friendly but it is probably slightly more expensive than it should be (eg a side of avocado shouldn't cost $8!).

The style of food is very similar to Cafe Sopra and no less impressive either. Portions seem especially huge, though. I struggled to finish two courses.

Good food, Ok ambience, wine list was outrageously overpriced.

A very interesting menu; we shared 4 dishes including an unusual cabbage dish, which was the hit of the night. The place is small and was pretty busy, but service was efficient. The biggest problem is that due to council regulations, everyone has to leave on the dot of 10pm! This meant we were somewhat rushed. It's not particularly good value either but we were happy with our experience overall.

We had made a booking for Honeycomb at least a week prior and arrived to find that someone had called to apparently cancel it. Of our group of four no one had cancelled the booking and in fact the day before the original booker had rung to confirm it.
The Maitre D' was fairly nonchalant about it all and while he did apologise it wasn't very sincere and we felt that we were being treated as the ones who did something wrong.
Although it was very frustrating we gave the restaurant the benefit of the doubt as mistakes happen. What we didn't find acceptable was the Maitre D'.
By the looks of the very busy and cramped restaurant he probably would have preferred if we had just left, but we didn't. Upon insisting for a table we were told that in "a few minutes" a table would be free.
He suggested that he call us when the table became free. We were happy to go and have a drink at a local pub and he said it would be about 15 minutes maximum. Half an hour later we hadn't got a phone call and when we rang no one picked up - twice.
We went back to the restaurant and after a few minutes we were assisted, kind of. The same table that was finishing up "in a few minutes" were still having their mains which is completely their right but our not so friendly, overly familiar and cocky Maitre D' rolled his eyes as he walked past us and said "We're getting there". We assume he was referring to the table who were still eating, which was rude to them and us.
At this point an hour had passed since our original booking time. We were left waiting outside the restaurant not knowing what was going on so when we directly approached the Maitre D' he then proceeded to try and offer us an extremely cramped table (not for four people) which we declined.
At that point he became very defensive and rude and came back to the point that the booking had been cancelled, which was completely not true. It wasn't the fact that a mix up had happened, nor was it the fact that we had to wait for a table, it was the nonchalant attitude of the head waiter that annoyed us most.
In the end we didn't get to try the food even though we had been very much looking forward to it. We could, however, see that the ambience seemed very much like a cafe and it was extremely cramped. We ended up having a fantastic night elsewhere so maybe in the end they did us a favour!

As a big fan of sopra, I was really looking forward to coming here, overall a bit disappointed, nothing was terrible, except the hot chocolate which was disgusting! Menu has a lot of the favorites from sopra, but nothing much new. It's very small, quite nice atmosphere, service a bit average. Probably won't hurry back, but also won't avoid all together.
Friends wanted to go, so I went back and was much more impressed this time, food was excellent, liked the service, the biggest difference in the food here compared to Sopra is the obvious extra care taken on each dish.

Loved the menu and the food was great, if a bit bit pricey for the cafe environment. No longer BYO sadly. I imagine it's a more enjoyable experience during the day.
We booked a table for 2 for a Friday night and were seated in the most cramped row by the window. A better description might have been communal dining.
It really would have been a much nicer experience if we hadn't been crammed in like cattle. And perhaps parting with the revenue from 2 more seats would have made the other diners stay a little longer to enjoy dessert and coffees?
All in all, I don't think I'd make an effort to return.
