Had one of the best steaks after a long time. I am not really a steal eater, but I do like to eat at hogsbreath cafe. The steaks are cooked for 18 hours and tastes delicious!

Weird place. I was taken to my seat and then verbally assaulted by a waitress who sat herself across from me to rant in my face a 2 minute diatribe about who was going to look after me today, the menu on offer, the '18hr steaks that we are renowned for' blah blah blah. I ask about the advertised lunches at $9.95, and she unhappily gave me all of three options. I had the BLT, which comes with 'their famous hog-tail fries'.

The bacon on the the burger was shredded, smothered in some strange BBQ sauce. The bottom half of the burger had soggily welded onto the plate. $5.30 for a stubby of Tooheys, served without a glass. It's a take, right?

Went here for lunch with a friend on Monday. We had chicken wraps and deep fried mushrooms and a few Stella's. Decent enough food for the price and pleasant staff.

Went there as I bought the Ouffer voucher. Food service was very slow that Sat night in June 2011 as it was crowded and they seem to lack of waitress! Not value for money as the prime steak is nearly $30! However, it was cooked the way we wanted ie. well done and not burnt. Will try the pub food 2 doors away. To pay for restaurant prices when you are getting pub food quality food is not worth the money!

Have been to a few Hog's Breath Cafe and I have never had a bad meal. St Marys was no exception. Would definitely return and if you see some of voucher deal for a Hogs Breath visit grab one they are fantastic value.

I have eaten here many times over the years, but after our last visit we will never ever go back, we went for lunch I ordered a salad and my fiancee a steak. After eating the chicken in my salad, I was done, the lettuce in the salad looked liked it had been stuck in the back of the fridge for 2 weeks it was all brown/black and disgusting.

When the young waitress asked if things were ok, because it looked liked I hadn't touched my meal, I showed her the lettuce and she said that she agreed it was not good and that she would speak to the kitchen, she came back with the reply that the lettuce arrived fresh from the markets each morning, when my fiancee again stated our dissatisfaction and disbelief that it was fresh produce she said she would get the senior staff to speak with us.

The senior staff stated again it was fresh and would speak to the kitchen, she again returned and argued with us to which we then showed her the black lettuce in my fiancee's side salad, she was not apologetic and would not give us a discount, or other food, we left when she returned to the kitchen to try and work out another excuse for disgusting food, we will never return!

On Saturday 8/5/10 I attended Hogs Breath Cafe with 5 others as we were celebrating a birthday. We had a 7.45 pm booking and we arrived at around 730 pm. We were seated at 7.45 and proceeded to order our meals. We were kept waiting for well over an hour and when our food finally arrived it was stone cold!.

The service at this restaurant is of the poorest I have ever encountered. I will never return to this restaurant and I will tell everyone I know about the dreadful dining experience I endured. You should be ashamed of yourself Hogs Breath, how dare you state that you have the best hospitality. Your incompetent staff don't even know the meaning of the word.

The service was terrible and the food was dry. There was a dead fly bug in my food and I confronted the waitress to tell her to see if she could give me a new dish all she said was that it must have flown in from the window I was sitting near. I found them so rude and disgusting that I will never return again.
