We have been here quite a lot... I never know what to choose as everything I have had is always delicious, and everything sounds (and tastes) delicious. Serving sizes are just right and it is great food to share. Service is attentive. Like the other reviewers the location does feel a bit like eating outside a shop, but I quite like people watching. This is not fine dining, this is comfy dining with friends. Would highly recommend!

Have been here twice now both times with the entertainment book voucher. The staff are great, very friendly and welcoming. The food is amazing - highly recommend my favourites of Kaju Beef and the meatballs.

The value for money is amazing. Don't judge a book by its cover with this one. If you're looking for a reasonably priced casual dinner with friends this is definitely the place. I will be going back many more times.

We went there last night and had such a great experience that I'm definitely going back. The staff are so lovely and friendly, taking away dirty napkins, giving us free papadums to start. They made us feel very welcomed.

The food was also sensational, we had the mixed entree platter which was great then shared the lamb char grill with rice, roti and pickles. Came with a sensational potato cake as well. Was more than enough to share.

Value for money is second to none as they had a 20% off for monday - Wed. Definaitely going back as all round great place and value. The only downside of this restaurant is that its located in a quiet set of shops.

Food: mixed bag, the marinations were very nice but the vegetables are undercooked which the chef explained is a Nepalese way to keep them fresh but that doesn't work for onions!. Kaju Beef Curry very nice mild sauce and beef was tender, Sesame Chicken marination excellent, the vegetarian stir fried vegetable missed the mark.

Ambience: location is inside small and old shopping area with lots of restaurants around, it felt like a food court, the toilets are common and neglected. Service: excellent nice waiter, swift and friendly. Value: very average, the portions are small, certainly not enough for an adult and you need to order rice on the side, the entrees are over priced.

Overall it felt like having a lunch special at dinner price!

We first came across this little gem on menu log as we ordered a delivery threw their website. So I decided to book a table for some friends 5 in total. We arrived to what looked like a food court but I never judge a book by it cover.
What can we say this place knows how to cook a curry amazing food and the service 10+.

We started with the entees Aloo chop, Samosa Chat, to die for spicy poppadoms and a yogurt sauce, side dish platter, and scallops yummo, followed by our mains Kaju beef to die for, Tarkari, Masala Beef checks, Nariwali prawns, rice and roti.

This was more than enough to shear and presentation was eye indulging and service quick polite and helpful they even made a adjustment on the menu for one of our guests that did no want too much spice.

So Thanks Team at Himalayan Char Grill Crowsnest your hard work and wonderful service has not been unnoticed and we highly recommend this to any one that want a relaxed low key casual night out with friends. We will be back. Regards.

My husband and I had a super dinner here a few weeks ago. The beef cheek was wonderful and full of flavour. We also had a potato dish which was also yummy.No surprise the place was full as the portions are very generous and reasonably priced. Our waiter was excellent and very friendly. I would have no hesitation recommending this restaurant to anyone and we will definitely return.

Went to this place again the other night and it never fails to deliver, the food is excellent and a nice change from indian or chinese. the curries are fragrant and aromatic rather than hot. The restaurant is no frills and the service is not 5 star, but this place is excellent value for money and a good place for a mid week BYO when your not looking to spend to much.

This restaurant is situated within a small shopping centre, and the atmosphere is far from intimate. It was very noisy when we arrived, mainly due to a kids' party at an adjoining establishment. We had a round table for 6 outside the restaurant but within the centre itself. Not initially impressed, but then we found the service very friendly, and the food really good. The chicken/eggplant entree was particularly good, and our selection of mains was generally good.

The goat curry was fantastic, as well as the Sekewa chicken and char-grilled lamb. The lamb shank special was not as great, and a bit tough. But overall, we all enjoyed the evening and thought it was a great value restaurant, serving interesting food, and with excellent service. Well worth a try for a good-value, tasty and lively dinner experience.

Amazing! What a great find this place is. We ended up here on Feb 14th, yes I totally forgot what day that was, everywhere was full, we were accommodated, however, within the shop space itself, not out the front in the mall. 20 minutes after sitting down, total power failure. The whole mall was out, and for those that know this place, there is 6 or so restaurants in the same location. Candles were produced and within 2 minutes the atmosphere was buzzing.

Gas meant the food still cooked away happily, and everyone enjoyed a candle lit dinner! The food was delicious, generous portions and amazing flavours. I had the Kaju Beef, a must! Cashew flavourings made this a wonderful treat. Vegetarians also don't miss out with 5 or so great dishes listed. What could have been a disaster ended up being one of the nicest dining out experiences I have had for a long time. I will definitely get back to the Himlayan Char Grill and book for next time! Excellent!
