I love their beef nihari (a gravey with beef cooked for hours), and its a must have for me almost every week. Their kheer (dessert made of rice and milk) was very good too. Being Pakistani, this is the only restaurant I can find in Sydney which is offering pakistani food a bit close to original taste. Seekh kebabs and veg karahi were gud too. Haven't tried other stuff though. They are very busy on weekend and I believe if u wanna eat freshly made then visit on friday night.

Very good food if you wish to dine in real sub-Continent cuisine with service and Value. Ambience is clean, tables and chairs are roomy

PS - if you like Sydney style of Indian food this eatery is not for you as there is no holding back with flavor, spice and ghee.

Very bad food. We just had delivery from Himalaya. The food was very awkward. The cheese naan was cold without cheese and everything was bad. I would not even think of eating this food again. Do not waste your money.

Now this place is quite good. Service is pretty poor and whoever has given a high rating for service obviously hasn't been to a real Restaurant. Been here now more than 30 times and nearly every single time they forget something or stuff up the order. Overall I rate this place and think it's on of the best Indian places in Sydney!

The food is consistently delicious, the service is friendly and efficient and the restaurant is always busy with a cosy atmosphere. Fast becoming our favourite restaurant in the area.

As an Indian I had heard a lot about this restaurant but walked away disappointed. I've been to Pakistan and I believe that Pakistani Tandoori Chicken is far superior to anything I have had in India or anywhere else, however, here it was tasteless. To make things worse in the menu they advertise full and half birds, we ordered one and a half birds and when the plate arrived it was 6 chicken merryland cut in half.

I asked the waiter where the breasts were and he told me they only serve merrylands. To me that's dishonest. Rogan Josh was nice as was the seekh kebab. Dessert was Rasmali which was also nice. Service was excellent. While there were some good points the lack of flavour and honesty with the chicken ruined my experience at this restaurant and only reaffirmed my view that for good Tandoori chicken no place beats Faheems in Enmore.

Nice food with good value for money. Himalaya isn't Indian restaurant but it is Pakistani restaurant. I have been plenty of Indian and Pakistani restaurants and I can tell that the Pakistani food tastes much different than Indian food.
It is run by Pakistani Chefs & Management so its only fair that we give credit to the right people.

This is our favourite Indian resautrant. The restaurant has the package deal- great tasting food, good service, great ambience and good value for money. Dishes of an exceptional standard include Lamb Madras, Chilli Chicken, Dahl Tarka, Chicken Tika Masala and the pakora is great.

Staff at this restaurant are highly attentive and make sure everything is taken care of. The atmosphere is great with a lovely feel to the place. I like being able to look in and see where the food is being made. Would definitely recommend.
