Love the range of beer here, and I love the food selection!! suckling pig with cracklings. A beer with little pink elephant, please this is what heaven would be like

It's something different and I love the old interior, it's like your entering a olden day pub!!

A little pricey but it's in The Rocks after all!! My friends love the range of Belgium beer here, and I love the food selection!! Not sure if they still have it but it's the only place I know of that has corn feed chicken meals!!

This place was incredibly crowded and noisy on the friday evening I went with 6 other friends. The layout of the bar made it virtually impossible to move around from one spot to another without bumping other patrons or in turn being bumped by others who found moving around just as difficult.

The service at the bar was quite good & I asked for and received a bar tab after handing over my credit card. Once seated at our table for dinner however I was unable to put further drinks on the bar tab - the young and totally confused waiter did not understand why I gave him the little card with my bar tab number. He told me he couldn't understand my request & proceeded to put all the drinks on the table's bill.

It's not really that difficult a concept to understand in my opinion - a bar tab is for putting drinks on..... where his confusion came from I am still wondering about myself - I don't think he understood that they actually allow patrons to have a bar tab - therefore communication amongst staff should be fine-tuned.

The food was only OK. The mussels in the blue cheese sauce I shared with my boyfriend as entree were really only just OK. The pork schnitzel we both had was tough and chewy and came with a gloppy red & overly sweet sauce underneath the meat that soaked into the breadcrumb coating & made the whole thing soggy and unappetising. I would certainly not go back. The boyfriend did however enjoy the Belgian beers.

Food is quite poor, stay away from the smoked trout salad (it is awful). My recommendation would be to go for the mussels and beer only. Mussels tend to be overly salty, but its ok with beer. Service is poor.

Food was marvelous! Love the Duck Salads, the mains (steak, roos n lambs) and Mussels are amazing too (depends on which flavour you choose)! The minus point come from the noise, this place is bloody noisy!!! Service was good, only a bit lazy at some stage... overall, it was a nice place with nice food!!!

Awesome beer selection (what, no VB?!). The food is great too, some typical Belgian cuisine and some other stuff too. The venue itself is really well done, with high ceilings and dark wood. During the week it is populated mainly by suits, rather than tourists which is a nice change given its proximity to the Rocks. But this place is really about the beer - go for the bottled ones, particularly the Chimays. The chilli flavoured one is great too.

Finally had the chance to go to this place, heard so much about it from mates. Didn't mind the layout of the place, abit dark for my liking, could do with a few more bright lights. We liked the menu and decided to go with the porter house steak, cheese balls and Bacon and leek mussels. Steak and cheese balls were nice, but I must say the Mussels were a Huge let down.

I just found them too smelly and couldn't eat them. They just gave off a foul smell that put me off completely. It was like trying to eat with a smelly sock in your face. Coming from an asian background, we usually prepare mussels with coriander/ginger to kill off the "off smells". Anyway, don't think we will be coming back anytime soon .

Great starter menu and great mussels with a good selection of beer and supporting information on the breweries, the various tastes and textures of beer etc. Service poor even when only half full and needs to be improved.

Food is pretty good. Had a pretty poor waitress most probably being trained. I specifically told her to bring out the mains a while after the starter and of course the main came out 5 minutes after the starter arrived. My steak knife came 5 minutes after my steak arrived. Have to shout to hear yourselfm, not bad but not fantastic either.

Fabulous food! Their mussel specialty did not disappoint, even with my very high expectations. Oysters were some of the best I've ever tasted and the mixed chacuterie plate with garlic mussels and cheese balls were a tasty starter. Service friendly and efficient and our food came out very quickly in the order I requested. However, when we entered we were a bit unsure of whether to seat ourselves or wait to be seated, but it's forgivable, they were extremely busy, as you would expect.
