Fantastic food, but the portion sizes of some of the mains (gnocchi) are far too small. Flavour and variety were all just great!

Considering it's all organic, and they use rennet free cheeses, it's not too bad but you will probably need three courses, and it will probably cost over $50 per head. I feel that with the small portions, and prices (considering it's vegetarian) it's a bit too dear. Here is also an annoying $3 surcharge on cream/ice-cream with dessert.

The service was great, but the waiting times were long-ish (although we were warned).

I was here for a romantic dinner which ended up more of a romantic chat with the food coming after taking ages. The restaurant wasn't even half full, still we had to wait at least 25 minutes before they took our order. The food itself was tasty, althogh the portions were tiny considering the pricing. We had three meals which ended up very expensive. I think the food is worth trying but they better cut the prices if they want people to return.

We made a booking in advance for Valentine's Day and were told the day before, a little frustrating but 'hey let's go with it' I thought as the options still looked good. We had been looking forward to coming here for a while after seeing it on Sydney Weekender, and my wife is a vegetarian so she was excited.

Well, we got there and they were obviously quite busy, waited about 10 minutes for our reservation table to be made up. We BYO'd and had a glass of wine then ordered about 7:30. 8:15 came around and we were wondering where our entrees were, so we enquired and were told the waitress forgot to put the order in. Ok, they put the order in again and entrees finally arrived about 8:40pm.. we have almost finished our whole bottle of wine by this time.

We finished entrees and were waiting for our plates to be cleared when all of a sudden the mains turned up. Interesting! Don't entrees get cleared first? Anyway, good (lucky) timing I thought.

Meanwhile, outside there are couples standing waiting there for tables, some of them waiting over an hour (not sure if they had reservations), another couple had been seated but we had eaten entree and main and their order hadn't been taken yet.

So we finish our mains and wait another 30 minutes before we ask someone to clear our plates, it's now 9:30pm. We politely explain that we'd like dessert ASAP, wait another 30 minutes, no dessert, 45 minutes, no dessert, it's 10:30pm and the desserts come out. Sticky date pudding and berry crumble, served with no cream or ice cream. My wife is so frustrated by now she almost begs the waitress for some cream to go with the dry crumble but are told it would be billed additional. I think the waitress saw her frustrating as she quickly went to the kitchen and came back with the apologies of the chef.

It's now almost 11pm, 3 1/2 hours into the meal and we're just finishing dessert. Wow what an epic meal. The food was 'Ok' but the service was pretty bad, it's obvious they had overbooked but so many unhappy diners (us included). For $120 (no drinks) they should do better. We won't be returning, which is a shame really as the restaurant itself is quite nicely situated.

The guys that run this little restaurant really are lovely and I suspect they've been doing it for quite some time. I take my hat off to them. And considering it was a Saturday night and all tables were full, they obviously have no problems pulling a crowd. What intrigues me, however, is that the food is just not that exciting. I love good vegetarian food, but this place doesn't really deliver. I had the vegetable patties for entree and they were lovely I have to admit.

The main was the mushroom pancake, and it tasted like oily, pan fried mushrooms and potatoes on an unappealling pancake. It was not a good dish. For dessert I ordered the Almond and Orange cake which I normally would love, but the citrus taste was far too overwhelming to be enjoyable.

I really love small, local restaurants, but the food at Harvest isn't that great.

Shockingly bad! We were kept waiting 1 hour 40 mins for our meal and were not offered drinks or bread or given any explanation during this time. When the food arrived it was bland and tasteless and sometime after 10pm. Should have stayed at home and eaten toast.

Harvest is a gorgeous little restaurant tucked away in Rozelle. As a vegetarian, it is a real treat to go somewhere and have so many options to choose from! The mushroom pancake stack is particularly delicious. To be honest, the service, while friendly, is not fast in this restaurant. Be prepared to wait some time for your meal to come out, but I have always thought it was worth it.

This is my third visit to Harvest in the last 5 years. I dined here in a party of 9 on a busy Saturday night. 8 of us were carnivores with one strict vegan. The food is good, nice flavours and well executed. There's nothing innovative here, just solid, flavoursome vegetarian fare. I had rice paper rolls for entree, and zucchini boats for main, followed by ice cream that had been prepared by the restaurant.

The wine list is very basic. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The staff are lovely if a little stretched on a busy night but that's to be expected. They handled our large table well.

We've always wanted to try this restaurant and finally got the chance to. The restaurant was fairly empty when we got there but the tables were all reserved and we were looking forward to quick service before the restaurant filled out.

We ordered the Pakorhas to share for entree and this was to die for, tasty, lovely and fluffy. For main I ordered the savoury mushrooms and my wife had the special Cauliflower Castle. I was most disappointed with the savoury mushrooms, what I read in the menu and what I got were like chalk and cheese. It was basically a plate of deep fried mushrooms and slightly burnt flat pancakes. No taste of garlic, herbs or parmesan. The English spinach sauce was just green water.

I couldn't even finish it which is a rarity for me. All I could think was that a KFC meal would have been nicer. This would rate as my 2nd worst restaurant meal. My Wife had the Cauliflower Castle, this wasn't as bad, it just needed more flavour, there was too much potato and no taste of the gruyere cheeses and too oily, unfortunately, the English spinach in it wasn't washed and there is nothing worse than eating gritty greens.

From reading the other reviews it seems that this isn't the norm at this place, we just won't be coming back as there's plenty of other places to try. We were happy with the friendliness of the staff however.

We loved the quaint atmosphere and hospitality of Harvest. Very relaxed and friendly with no pretence. The food was fantastic considering it wasn't organic. The portions were just right enabling us to enjoy the many selections available as we thoroughly enjoyed it ordering a second entree along with a great dessert!

It's nice to find an up-market vegetarian restaurant for a date night. First time my husband and I have ever ordered and eaten three whole courses! I had the cheese souffle entree, which was great. I'll order it next time too. Husband had the Indian pakoras and said they were tasty.

For mains he had the lasagna, and I had the tapas dip selection. His was a bit too drowned in cheese, and mine was fine but not amazing overall (though the blue cheese dip was mmm!). For dessert he had the three chocolate terrine and gave it a great review. I had their homemade coconut gelato with a scoop of blueberry and a scoop of apple+cinnamon sorbet. The coconut and blueberry was yum, the apple sorbet sadly tasted just like apple juice with no cinnamon (gave it to the husband, and he liked it, so, perhaps, a personal taste thing).

All up it was $90. We will go again to repeat the dishes we liked and to try some new ones. Oh, and the waiters were nice too (though took ages to bring the bill, but nice not to feel rushed I suppose!).
