This place is a class act! The chicken and veggie pie with peas and mash is a perfect lunch after taking the visitors on a tour round the city!

Where else in Sydney after 10:30 pm can you get food? Best place for pies and good vegetarian pie too. Delish, quick and hits the spot.

It got me over my pie-allergy (I've been allergic to pies since I was 6). On that note, good enough for me.

P.S. from reading the reviews here, I think the service + food are actually better late at night, drunk or not (because I wasn't). I asked for a container for gravy and peas since I was driving quite far and they put it in a coffee cup, no extra charge. At 2am, I think that should classify as five-star.

It had been a while since going to Harry's, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and service. It is great piece of Sydney history and it good place to take overseas tourist for their first pie. One of my mates says they make the best pastrie I say it make a good basic pie and mushy peas with HP sauce. (The mushie peas are no longer tinned. which was why I stopped going.)

Just because it's in Woolloomooloo and some famous people have gone there, probably while, one would imagine, fairly inebriated, doesn't make it anything more than some hot dogs and pies. And in fact it's quite a bit less. Mashed peas and chilli with a sausage/mince of indeterminable origin while sitting on the dirty part of the pier in an attempt to ironically mock the patrons of the wharf's somewhat classier establishments? Oh, yes please!

We did it but would not go there again. Food- Nothing to write home about. Ambience- Sitting among the wine's and down and outs. Service- come on it a caravan. Value- I suppose if you're an icon you can charge more for a meat pie.

Always somewhere to bring the tourists and to educate Americans in what a meat pie is. Good basic food done well. Not flashy, just exactly what they say it is. And a lot of fun at 3am!

Great to sit out with dozens of other midnight snackers. The curry pie is excellent.

Excellent pies. I have never found gristle in a pie from Harry's. Perfect way to begin the journey home on a Saturday night.

Great place day and night (especially night, midnight), the food is yummy with lots of choices for what you can put in your pie & hotdog, and the speed of service is amazing...

One thing, it is on the street, so technically it's the rats+cockroaches's territory. However, the view by the wharf, the fresh breeze from the harbour can really add browny points to the place. I love this place at night especially after a few drinks with friends, you just wanna chill and fill up your stomache!
