After a bad experience last time we decided to give it another go after encouragement from management. Our experience was much better. Our waiter was fantastic, happy, friendly and attentive (Andre).
The food was good (a little over priced) and the desserts were to die for. The choc fudge brownie and the apple dessert. The fajitas were also yummy. We did not have to wait for a table and the atmosphere was good even on a wet Wednesday lunch. We will definitely be back. The kids really enjoyed it as well.

Myself and three family members attended the Hard Rock Cafe today along with my baby. There were so many problems it's hard to know where to begin.
Firstly, we waited at the concierge desk just up from the stairs, we waited and waited to be told by passing wait staff that the other desk was being used instead. So not a good impression as we wasted a lot of time there. We went to the other desk to be told there was a 20-30 min wait.
During the wait our buzzer "accidentally" went off which was frustrating. We were told there may not be room for the pram once we were finally being seated.
Secondly, we waited literally over an hour for our food. We only received it once we complained and once received it was beyond rubbish. The burgers were dry, the nachos chicken was burnt and well over cooked. The burgers literally had one lettuce leaf and one tomato slice to fill the 10oz burger and no sauce! Dry as anything.
Totally a major disappointment. Will never Ever be going back. The senior staff was rude and unaccommodating. We were all very disappointed with the entire experience and it's over priced dry disappointing food. We honestly could have gotten better for a lot less at the local burger joint.

We apparently came in from the "other entrance" and were told that we had to go "over there" with the other people at the main entrance!? that were waiting to be seated. So we went over and were pretty much ignored. We were just standing around staring at people looking pretty much out of place. After about 4 or 5 parties being taken to their tables, they must have felt sorry for us and then decided to show us to our table. Not the best of starts.
Ambience was great, definitely what you would expect from a Hard Rock Cafe. Service was pretty good too except that it took about 30 minutes for our mains to arrive after having just a bruschetta for our entree. Thought it would have been a bit faster than that considering we just ordered burgers.
My wife had the pulled pork "sandwich" and I had the beef brisket "sandwich". My wife's was ok but a little bland. Mine was ok too but very very fatty. Nice tiny serving of slaw and bean mix. The buns fell apart in your hand. Were they worth the $19.95 each? No. Definitely not.
Our waiter was great. Conversed with the kids well too. Only criticism I have would be at bill time. I asked for the bill, he came and dropped it off and that was it. He was gone. We then got up and wandered over to the counter to pay the bill, but were told that we had to wait for our waiter as we had to pay the bill through him.
Lucky we caught him coming out of the kitchen and he quickly got it sorted for us. From getting the bill to actually making our payment was about 10-15 minutes. Nothing more frustrating when you just want to pay your bill and get out of there.
Would I recommend this place to others? Hmmmmm maybe as a try once sort of thing. Would I go back? Probably not. It was good to try it out, but it definitely wasn't the stand out that I thought it would be.

I came here for drinks after dinner and found the place very busy on a sat night. Even though the cocktail my friend wanted wasn't on the menu, the bartender made it for us. Prices are similar to bars in the city and it's hard to get a table/seat later at night but a good venue for a drink.

Despite the terrible reviews, we went as it was convenient to my daughter audition for x factor. We were seated promptly on a Saturday lunch time with restaurant about half full. Our waiter after making a big deal about showing his name badge and signing his name of napkin, promptly took our orders and was not seen again for 45 minutes when we finally tracked him down to find out where our meals might possibly coming.
He came back and said another 5 to 10 minutes without any apology or anything to soothe rumbling tummies. 15 minutes later the food arrived and it is hard to work out why it took so long. All the food was terrible, badly presented and just plain ordinary overpriced trash.
Congratulations to the waitress who swanned around the floor, miraculously avoiding picking up any empty glasses, finished plates or indeed communicating with customers, she is a symptom of what is wrong with this venue.

I have been here twice in 3 weeks, both on Sunday's. It is a bit galling when the staff act like they can't seat you yet you can see plenty of empty tables behind them. There are always plenty staff buzzing around but it took 40 minutes to get two glasses of pepsi.
The food is incredibly expensive, but I guess that is to cover the overheads for the location. The food is Ok, but not great. It's just not the same as the old Crown Street location. We won't be heading back.

We had an early dinner at The Hard Rock Cafe on Saturday. It was our first time there and we noticed meals being delivered to others were on the large size. My wife and son wisely shared a burger (and almost managed to finish it). I also had a burger and thoroughly enjoyed it. The large beef patty had a sweet hickory flavour.
The food isn't cheap, but the quantity and quality make it exceptional value. The combination of great tasting food, extensive drinks menu and friendly service will ensure they keep filling up their 500 seats. And we're sure to be repeat customers.

Worst dining experience for a long time.
The jumbo combo entree was acceptable enough but mains arrived on table the second entree plates and cutlery were cleared from table. That meant one thing only which was confirmed immediately. The mains could at best be described as lukewarm.
I had bone in rib eye which apart from being lukewarm and virtually inedible and worst steak had in a long time. The mashed potato was hardly mashed and along with carrots and string beans was cold. The wife had shrimp linguine which again was cold upon delivery and while she said prawns were quite nice the overall meal was disappointing and half was left.
There were other issues including the first table we were seated at virtually being in a hallway and the table so unstable it would have made eating on it virtually impossible. We were moved at our request to a nice table with a view which was the best part of the evening.
With drinks, beer and wine, this was the worst $200-00 my wife have spend in a long, long time. Would not recommend and will not return.

I took my wife and 5 kids along for a Sunday out, without too many preconceptions. I was really pleasantly surprised. The kids had kid sized burgers and chips and we had the ribs, absolutely fantastic. The waitress was prompt and courteous, even for a busy Sunday, and she managed to keep the kids amused. The prices were even comparable to other restaurants in the precinct.
We'll definitely be going back!

Went to HRC with no expectations whatsoever, left the place with the worst impression ever. When ordering the food, we approached a waitress whom gave us a glare, and later sent another to attend to us. Furthermore, the food took almost an hour to deliver, and when it finally arrived, it was dry, oily and not appetising at all. I didn't finish half the dish because it was so bland and unpresentable. It was definitely not worth the money spent. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The only thing, if anything, that saves the place from receiving a zero review, was the harbour view.
