Amazing food, smooth coffee, great service, I just cannot get enough of this place. They do the best vegetarian breakfast and sometimes they have Eggs benedict on the specials which is the best I have ever had!
Response from Management:
Thank you for the great review. The vegetarian breakfast is for sure a winner dish, people ask always when are we planning to have it on special again.
We promise to keep up the hard work and the great quality, and keep impressing every time you come in.

Love this place! Great lebanese breakfast in a small family run cafe. Owners are friendly and staff are attentive. Food is incredible and the menu regularly changes with the addition of specials that are always worth a try. We've been back many times as we live nearby. A regular spot for a great feed! Family friendly as well.
Response from Management:
It feels great to hear what people say about us, it is clear that success can not be claimed but only given.
We really love each and every customer as they all belong to our Hangry family.
One more time thank you for taking the time and leaving this beautiful review.

We have been here a couple of times for breakfast and each time I think we should dine here more often. I love their kafta and egg breakfast tagine and the tomato relish is so yummy that we order it with every savoury dish.
Service is friendly, being mid morning today it is quiet and the chef took the opportunity to chat with us and try a couple of his home made sauces. Portions are definitely "man sized". Well worth a visit.

I read about this place in the Inner West Courier, which said it was an awesome cafe. My partner and I went along this morning and enjoyed it a lot. The service was excellent, the coffee was great and we loved breakfast. We won't be needing any lunch today.
I've loved Middle Eastern food for years. Now I've found a place where I can go and get a real range. Definitely worth a visit.

We have been to this cafe a few times now and have taken friends there as well. Food is excellent. We are slowly trying all the dishes on the menu and no complaints at all so far. The coffee is good. Service is attentive and the waiters explain the dishes well. Portion sizes are quite large, we usually skip lunch after breakfast at Hangry!

What can I say this place was fantastic. We went there with some friends for breakfast and the breakfast menu was so extensive we had alot of choices! It was really hard to choose I had one of their specials the Halva Hotcakes with raspberry compote and crushed pistachios. Words cannot describe it, it was amazing just delicious. My Husband had the Kafta Tagine and he was raving about it. Our friends were all also very impressed because they come from middle eastern background and they said they do middle eastern food justice.
The coffee was great perfect temperature and nice and strong. The service was also very impressive this place ticks all the boxes and I will be telling all my friends about it.

We went for breakfast today after seeing such good reviews. It was nice to see different food but it was mostly eggs done various different ways. I had the foule medamis which was quite bland and my husband had the Egg Sucuk which was a special. He thought that it lacked flavour too. If they want to see how middle eastern breakfast food is done well, they should go try somewhere else in Surry Hills. This place is no comparison.
The coffee was average, quite watery not creamy like it should be for a flat white. The lunch menu looked more enticing and even though brekky wasn't great, I'd still like to try it for lunch.
Response from Management:
Dear Zim,
As the owner of Hangry, and on behalf of myself and my team would like to apologise from you and your partner that we did not meet your expectations today. I am not sure why the food was blend or as described, it is not usually like this and should never be. I will definitely investigate and find out why this has happened and make sure I have a word with the kitchen manager andalso make sure it does not happen again.
I really appreciate your honest feedback and I believe that the only way that to keep improving our standards is by listening to you and every other person, and every feedback for us is taken as a positive feedback.
I would like to take the opportunity and thank you for visiting Hangry, and for taking the time and putting the effort in telling us what your experience was like, because if you don’t it will be harder for us to find out what has gone wrong.
I would be looking forward to see you again soon and please do introduce yourself when you come again.
Regards

The first time we went to Hangry for brunch, it was a full house inside and out. Somehow the outside table orders were lost for a while but the food when it arrived was delicious. Much quieter on our second visit as it was later in the day, and we were still able to order from the all day breakfast menu as well as the lunch menu.
We chose the former, and had the blackboard special called awarma -(minced lamb on hommous with sliced toasted almonds, an egg and pomegranate seeds) and the Hangry Special - (baked and spiced eggs with yummy labneh and salad). Both dishes were served with pita bread. Food and coffee were very nice, and the service seemed a bit more personal and friendly than in the usual cafe. We will be back.

Hangry is a nice little spot for brekky, it seems a little lost on some things but hits the mark most of the time. Menu is mostly middle eastern tinged but with european paintings and italian music playing!
Servings are huge and I had the I'm Hangry brekky, very tasty and plenty of it. Mrs had the vego option and it was great too, a fresh juice to wash it down and a couple of pretty good coffees.
Took a little while for everything to come but overall it was pleasant, give it a bash if you are in the area, you won't go hungry!

A dedicated, hard working husband and wife team consistently deliver everything you would want from a cafe.
The food is nothing short of amazing the huge menu and tempting specials make it so hard to choose what to have. It isn't your standard breakfast/lunch fare it is much, much better than that.
There is a choice of Di Gabriel coffee blends on offer both of which are the perfect coffee. Service is fast and friendly with the owners taking time to make you feel you are a valued customer.
We are seasoned cafe goers and this place is the best by far, very highly recommended, quick. Go there before everyone else does!
