The food was good, the portions were reasonable, the service and ambience were fine, but nothing to rave about.

Went here in October 2011. The place is a bit rundown and the service inattentive and slow. Had the lebanese feast and the waiter was all over the place with the servings. The food is not bad and the value ok for what you get. With the amount of Lebanese restaurants in Sydney though it is not hard to find a better one. I must say, we won't be back.

I went to Habibi's for dinner but I have to say although the food tasted ok (it wasn't fantastic) the serving size was really small - we ordered the lebanese feast but it was far from a feast. Don't know if it was because we has a vocher from livingsocial deals but the amount of food was definitely a small portion and not worth the $$$, even using the voucher.

We visited here on a Friday night with a meal voucher. Downstairs was nearly full and we opted for the cushion lounge upstairs. It was really cosy, like hanging out in a lounge room. The food was good. Nothing in particular stood out as exceptional but there was plenty of variety and generous portion sizes. By 9.00pm we were the only ones left in the restaurant and we had to go downstairs to remind them we were still there and would like our coffee. Overall it was a good meal, no complaints.

Four of us went to Habibi for dinner on a saturday night using one of the deal voucher. We had the meat banquet menu, which are excellent. The foods were great, with a lot of variety, from entree to dessert and coffee. They also have a belly dancer on weekend, which was really fun. Even without the deal voucher, $25 per person for the banquet menu is very reasonable. We will be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and were impressed with the friendly yet professional service. We told the waiter we were hungry, and after taking our order it was a matter of seconds before the delicious tabouli, hommus, baba ghanoush and pita's hit the table. The feast was impressive, everything we were served was tasty, and the food seemed to just keep on coming. We will gladly return here.

Dined at Habibi's last night with a deal voucher, the food was fantastic and the Service friendly and genuine. The voucher was accepted with a smile and there wasn't even a corkage charge. We left good tip anyway to show our appreciation for a lovely Monday night out. Have dinned at many Lebanese restaurants in the area previously and definitely think that this is one of the better ones. Recommended.

We went to habibi's lebanese resturant in surry hills for a birthday party with a group of friends, I have to tell you that it was so expensive and you did not get enough food, it would cost an arm and a leg for a low amount of food, and the restaurant owner is a real food dictator, he forces you to choose the expensive food, and also he is sleazy and a pervert full of himself, if it was not for the good friends it would have been a really bad and expensive place. Don't go there.

Four of dined here on a Saturday night. We didn’t have a booking and were lucky to snare the last table on offer at 7.30pm. Because it’s a small place with only about 10 tables downstairs (plus a cushion room upstairs for parties) I guess booking ahead - at least on a weekend - is advisable.
Habibi serves standard Leb fare in a pleasantly cool (it was a hot summers night), unpretentious and relaxed environment. Service is efficient and quick if a little unsmiling, and all the food we had was fresh and tasty. Those yummy Leb flavours just went down a treat. We ordered four “special banquets”, which is excellent value at $30 a head and included all our favourites like hommos, felafel, lady fingers, meat on a skewer, chicken, rice and beans as well as those delicious tahina and baba ghanoush dips. And of course, lashings of warm, soft Leb bread. Also included are “birds nest” desserts and Turkish Leb coffee to wash it down.
You’ll never leave here hungry. Decor is plain with a few obligatory pics of Leb landscapes on the walls. Tables are small and a bit cramped (especially with all those dishes), but at least they’re well spaced out so we didn’t find acoustics a problem.
The single unisex toilet is up a steep flight of stairs. If the cushion room is occupied, chances are that the toilet will also be occupied. Then it’s best to sit outside on the couch and wait rather than have to wend your way downstairs and back up again. Don’t you just hate these single-toilet restaurants?
After the meals we were treated to a round of belly dancing by pretty lass in a green outfit. I’m not a great fan of these things but full marks to the owner for waiting until all meals were finished and also to the dancer for keeping it brief and entertaining.
You’ll find Habibi in the heart of the popular Leb dining strip on the corner of Elizabeth and Cleveland Streets. Being Surry Hills on a Sat night we struggled to find a parking as most streets have one-hour restrictions that end at 10.00pm! (congrats to the idiot council for that smart move to encourage people to patronise local businesses).
Overall, a pleasant dining experience at a very reasonable price and we won’t hesitate to go back.

We had the meat banquet for 2. Very nice fresh food, loads to eat and a lovely spiced tea afterwards.
