I love their soft tacos with the black bean filling. If you buy three of them you'll end up quite satisfied. The service is very different depending on who's working there. Sometimes friendly, sometimes slack. It's Ok for a quick meal for lunch but I wouldn't go for a nice meal on a Saturday night.

Possibly the worst mexican I've had and it is so overpriced for the amount they serve. People who have 'recommended' this place have obviously never had proper mexican food which is a real shame. Friends and I came here and we ordered a few items to share, the burrito, nachos and soft/hard tacos. Firstly, are they going through a bean drought? There's no need to be so skimpy on the beans, it's the cheapest ingredient and quite frankly, the most crucial when it comes to mexican cuisine.
Nevertheless, I tried to get past this and attempted to enjoy my beef taco and the 5 single beans scattered throughout. Horrible and tasteless. Don't even get me started on them charging extra for guacamole. That's like Mcdonald's charging extra to have mac sauce in your big mac. Please explain. The burrito wasn't that great either, not sure what's going on in the kitchen but the items we ordered were rather bland.
I'm being completely serious in saying this but I would rather buy the $5 old el paso kit from coles and make them at home then spend money at this spot again. no bueno.

I frequent Guzman y Gomez maybe once or twice a week. It really is the only food near my house that I crave on a daily basis.
Great Burritos, great service, great location, great restaurant. I once went on a lazy sunday and ate 3 Burritos. The staff were incredibly impressed. As was my Girlfriend (at the time).
The only hiccup is the price. You can easily spend $15-20 on a burrito, drink, side/guac. If you add a beer into the equation, you are looking at $20+.
Overall, I love the place, and will continue to go as much as possible. Hell, I might even go now.

Tasty fast Mexican food. It's very much a takeaway outlet but the food is very high quality for a takeaway outlet. I recommend the burritos in particular.

Great Mexican food esp the quesadillas and the tacos (real soft ones). Great to have Coronas and Marqaritas in such a casual place.

I like the vibe of this place. The simple open air style feels a bit like a Mexican McDonald's. I had a Burrito and had to wait 20 minutes (!) it seems someone had phoned through a large order prior to me or they were very disorganized. I was slightly annoyed as I should have been in and out in 20 minutes and not waiting for my food.
The food is so simple its hard to go wrong but my pork had been boiled to an inch of its life and had no flavor at all. Thankfully I heaped some Tabasco and jalapenos for flavor. The wholemeal tortilla was fresh but $15.50 for a Burrito and soft drink does not represent good value, you pay extra for gauc and wholemeal. I'd go back simply cause I like mexican food.

The Quesadillas are delicious but completely overpriced, but where else to get them? The Burritos are more generous but quite bland. The staff though friendly, have a tendency to get the order wrong because they don't listen. You need to ask them to repeat back your order. This is not so much a restaurant as a fast food joint. If you take it as such, the food is good and the vibe is actually quite fun.

I went to buy 2 takeaway burritos today. I wanted to have spicy pork burritos. But I got 2 spicy beef burritos. I asked the till staff these are not what I ordered. The till staff insisted "you said spicy beef" I said "Spicy beef was not the menu. I wanted spicy porks and I ordered spicy porks." The senior staff came to me, so I said him "I said spicy porks and I wanted spicy porks." The senior staff said to me" So you say that is our fault?!' And I said "I don't know but there are not spicy beefs on the menu" He said" We can do it".
But I just ordered spicy pork from the menu. The senior staff eventually went to back and made them for me but I was so upset the till staff said me many times" You said spicy beef." And I must say "Sorry" sounds like it is my fault. They lost one customer.

The margaritas and burritos are exceptional quality and exceptional value. The tacos, birria and quesadillas are pretty poor. Overall, for fast food, this place leaves McDonalds, HJs and the pizza chains for dead and those burritos are as tasty as they are nutritious.

Food is not authentic Mexican but still good. But it needs some sauce, it's not too good on it's own. As someone else said, the sauce bottles (though delicious!) are really gross and all mucked up around the tops. The service is Slow here which explains why there is always a Huge line (no one can just go in and go out). Seating is also limited.
