I've been meaning to write a review on these guys for a while as my wife and I used to visit their Crows Nest location multiple times a week for lunch. I'm from Arizona so it was a relief to find a nearby Mexican food place that was affordable but the quality started to go down significantly.

They removed salsas and replaced them with Tabasco sauce! Having been to so many Mexican places with wonderful salsa bars this was a serious disappointment. As a prior reviewer said: Unacceptable. For this reason alone I no longer visit them and tell people not to go there.

Quality has gone down too. They now give you a tiny amount of guacamole and charge you $2 for it when you add it to an item. Rice has been undercooked and hard on a few occasions. Chicken is often too charred and they've also increased their prices. All in all its sad to see this place hit such a low.

It's all about the burritos! And the fact that you can wash it down with a beer. Service is good, super fast and friendly. Burritos are tops! Ambience? well, it's really a takeaway joint so you don't go there for the atmosphere. Just chow down and enjoy.

Boom! They brought the real thing, the California Mexican food burritos with the multiple salsa options. This is the best so far in Sydney and I hope they keep it up! +1 to the guy below, haven't had mex this good since being in Cali.

I'm revising above review to reflect them removing the salsa options and replacing with three bottles of tabasco. Unacceptable. Those are for southern US food, not Mexican. A burrito gets pico de gallo or other kinds of salsa. Prices too high now as well. I'll still go as it's the only burrito option around.

Awesome! I have been waiting for 10 years for the burrito experience I just had at GYG! Having spent time over the last 10 years in California, Mexico and South America it brings me an overwhelming sense of satisfaction to finally chow down on an authentic tex-mex burrito without having to take fourteen hours international flight.

If you don't appreciate it then you don't know the art which is the "burrito". Seriously these guys have nailed it, a pillow of flavorful fillings served hot and ready for a reasonable price, that’s all that is needed. $10 a burrito is fair, flavour is exceptional. Tacos are authentic and totally rad! I could have lunch here then back it up with dinner and a few cervesas! All I would ask would be for a breakfast menu...mmm breaky burrito!

Not everyday you can get beer or tequila from a take away place. All the dishes I have tried so far have been tasty. Service has always been speedy. If anything, maybe could be a bit cheaper.

I wasn't convinced from my first two visits but went back a few times and have found a real liking for their burritos, they are a great little meal. The staff are very friendly, the atmosphere's ok but I prefer to take away (although that stops you from being able to order the frozen margheritas). Great to have this option in Crows Nest, which needs more modern places to counter the 70's style restaurants on the main street.
