Just happened by this jam joint on a cold winters night, love the chic refurb....love the 3 different areas of the pub, could have some terrific functions upstairs or out in the groovy open air courtyard, food was absolutely delicious and well priced I thought - "Al Dente" fresh Italian fare mainly, with also the regular tasty bistro fare, believe they have new owners for the restaurant and it shows, foods much better than the last time I ventured into this fabulous old comedy joint, bring back the great comics too, I say. Line up the laughs, guys!!!

The people working here are completely incompetent and don't do their jobs. It's too bad since it's a nice looking place. Service is slow and halfhearted. When we complained they shrugged, like "I only work here..". No pride whatsoever in their venue... Read the comments here, everyone agrees.

I was having a drink at the Harold Park Hotel the other night and saw some of the dishes being taken to someone else's table. They looked great so I knew I had to come back for dinner one night hence the review.
The restaurant is now under new management and it's about time. It's called Grilletti and they have an Italian influence but you can still get the usual pub like food. I ordered the linguine with crabmeat, prawns & scallops and my friend had the ribeye fillet on the bone with red wine sauce and vegetables. Really fantastic food and exactly what the pub needed again. I'll be coming back.

The food took an hour to come and even then, they had ran out of some of the dish. The pub wasn't even busy yet no explanation was offered as to why our meals were taking so long.

This has got to be one of Sydney's worst newly refurbed venues. The service was unbelievably slow, the food overpriced and overrated, as were the drinks. Maybe they could have spent some more money on decent staffing, rather than the pompous furniture. This is nothing like the pub of old, and we will not be going back ever. Terrible!!!!!

Decor is great, it's a pitty about the restaurant upstairs. Firstly there was 5 things on the menu not avaliable on a Friday night and the service was very slow and the meal was very ordinary for the price you pay. The saltiest surf and turf I have ever tasted, it was like it had soy sauce all over it, not just over the meat, but the salad and chips were ruined too with this sauce.
Not very nice for what appears to be a fancy restaurant! I'll only use this place for drink from now on, shame really.

Average. While the decor is impressive (although the lighting upstairs slightly overdone) the food is average. Our meal took almost an hour to arrive, and for the first time in my life I sent it back! Only to wait another 20 minutes for the half decent replacement.

This place is amazing! The décor is fantastic and the pink lounge in the far corner is to die for. Wine list was brilliant a lot to choose from and the beer list were more than impressive. The service I found was great, the Portuguese beef was beautiful. The staff are friendly and prompt with their service. I will make it a regular night out. Great place see you there.

What a shame the food and service didn't match the decor. We waited and we waited and we waited! No waiters in sight. Drinks took forever to get to the table. This place is seriously understaffed with people that have no idea how to run a restaurant. Food was ordinary, not worth 'waiting' for.
