This is an ex bowling club, with the pokies replaced by arcade games. The unretouched decor makes you think you are in for standard RSL fare, but no way. Excellent food and a great environment for our extended family gathering. Huge mezze plate, fine souvlaki annd squid followed by excellent penne boscaiola.

Great for kids. We had our dinner outside on the green and the kids had a great time on the grass (they let them run there!). Also went to a function on a Saturday night - they close it off to the public. Live music and a great set up. Very unique part of Sydney.

Locals took us to this hidden venue in the inner west and we had a great time. Kids had a ball on the bowling greens, I had the curry which was great value while my wife had the fish that was terrific. Black board highlighted various specials but the main menu worked for us. Will definitely go back when we are next in the area.

Very relaxed atmosphere, excellent for functions, went to an excellent 50th with live music and plenty of safe places for teenagers to lurk.

Love this place, great place for a Function. Good price, can have bands or Dj's. Went to a Wedding, my friends got married at Petersham Park and then we went to Club. Lots of outdoor space. Really good little Gem in the inner west. Highly recommend it.

This place has changed hands and no longer serves Asian-style food but Indian curries and the usual pub grub of steak and snags.

One free kids meal for each adult meal purchased on Wed/Thurs nights.

I ordered the chicken korma. It came in a bland sauce - no doubt out of a jar - and had a dozen pieces of chicken fillet but no other vegetables whatsoever. It did come with a free pappadum and chappati. Very disappointing. The kids meals are your standards snags/chicken nuggets/fish served with chips.

No longer Thai but called the Green Bowl Bistro. This is a pokie-free club that is board-run by local community members. This is the most economical family, friendly place I've seen in the inner-west. We went on a Friday night. There are kids meals from $6, plenty of vegetarian options and the usual bistro options up to $16.

The best part was the kids are allowed to bring balls/bats and run barefoot on the bowling greens. So the adults were able to talk and the kids entertained themselves running around. It's really popular, there must have been about 30 kids running around and there was also a kids birthday party being held. Parking available in side-streets.

Seating for about 30 people outside adjacent to the greens with more seating inside the club. Cheap bar prices and no pokies. Live music on Fri nights. We'll definitely be going back.

A great neighbourhood bistro. Outstanding venue for the local crowd to meet up with friends for a low-fuss dinner. Fantastic food. Certainly not for a romantic night out, this place is pitched at a community level.

Great Food - same guys who do Thai Garn in Summer Hill. Fantastic for families, but would go after 8pm if you don't have family - very kid friendly! Wed and Thurs not so hectic. Also - good to support Petersham Bowlo.
