This is the worst Thai restaurant I have ever been. The service was bad. The food was bad too. We will never come back again. Never!

Beautiful ambience in the restaurant. Portions are generous and the staff are very nice. Generous with the rice and the food was spot on.
Owner came over and asked us how the meal was. Made the effort to ask how we were and if everything was ok. Drinks topped up and very enjoyable night. This is a great place to go when you just want to eat locally in the hills. Parking is easy, and desserts are great.

We constantly had to ask the staff for cutlery which never came so had to pinch some from another table! Food was okay but a bit dry, I've had much better food and service at other Thai restaurants in the area.

Wow! I heard about this restaurant through a friend of mine so we decided to test it out. We weren't disappointed! We went on a Thursday night and it was packed out! We only waited a little while before we got a seat.
I love the look and feel of the restaurant. Nice gentle ambience and the decor was very cool (I wonder if I can buy that chandalier). The service was friendly and prompt! I expected to be waiting around before we got served cause of the amount of people there that night.
The menu is fairly extensive but we ordered the Massaman Beef, Pad See Ew, Panang Prawns, Pad Thai and a red curry. Yum! All of them were very nice! I can't wait to go back!

This new thai restaurant is very nice. Not the cheapest in the area, but they make it up by having very well cooked food and prompt service. You can see the open kitchen from the dining area and it is very clean. The ambience and decor is nice. It is located in a business park, so parking is no problem and the area is quiet. Best dishes are the special pad thai and regular thai fried rice.

The Grand Siam has exceeded my expectations. It is great food, great servings and great service. I am used to getting plain, tiny servings from tired old thai restaurants but the Grand Siam really surprised me. This restaurant has an extensive menu with a lot of variety, especially for vegetarians like me. It is great value and has great taste. The service is great; even when service is delayed, the staff really care about the impression they make upon their customers and will work their best to rectify any errors. Truly love this place and hope it maintains the standard it has upon its opening!

Went here on a whim for lunch on a Saturday. They're not open for lunch on Saturdays but the owner and chef opened up anyway, just for us! As it was a new place, I ordered a staple chicken pad see ew and my sister had the thai beef salad. Both were very good. The thai beef salad was particularly impressive with a blend of complex tastes in just the right proportions with a lingering after taste that just made you smile. The pad see ew was also a winner. They obviously use good oils here and decent ingredients.
The owners have not spared the restaurant from its air of quality. The tables are decorated with thai-oriental runners, the glasses are mug-sized and bottom-heavy, and the cutlery is over-sized and decently weighted, and food is served on funky square plates.
I usually dine out in the city where the thai food is good value, great tasting and quick (but not necessarily friendly) service. I have to recommend The Grand Siam on all counts because the smiling, new owners are obviously willing to go out of their way to make their customers happy. The food is definitely a winner and until the end of September 2011, they have a 15% off everything opening special.
