The food in Malaysia Festival was totally disappointing ! It didn't reflect the true Malaysia cuisine... not strong in flavour and not spicy at all. It was too much for $48 for that type of food. What I wanted was to take my family out for a good meal but it turned out we'd rather going to food court to spend less than $10 each person and would have higher satisfaction for our taste buds!

I went to the Malaysian Kitchen Festival and the only redeeming thing about this was the traditional Malay music. Where do I even start? When I called to book I asked if I can use the Entertainment Book voucher. The answer was Yes. When it was time to pay, the cashier advised that because it was a special occasion, the voucher is not accepted. Nice.

The food was absolutely horrible: they just didn't know how to manage the portions or even making sure the food was always maintained warm and replenished. I had to wait 20 minutes for another dish to be replenished and then another 20 minutes for another dish. There was not enough cutlery. When I went to the dessert at 920, the bain marie was empty. When I asked the kitchen staff if more was coming, he shook his head and went back in the kitchen.

Great customer service there. In the beef rendang, there were bits of bones in the sauce. If they are trying to showcase malaysian cuisine and hospitality, they have failed tremendously. Will never be back.

I was at the Grace Hotel for a 4 days of training as such I didn't pay for lunch as it was included.

The food is good. Salads are fresh and tasty. The hot meats veggies and pasta dishes while not pushing any creativity boundaries are good and tasty. Desserts were lovely. I could have happily eaten any of them and by the 4 day I probably had.

Highly anticipated as I am a Malaysian living in Sydney. Was hoping to taste the goodness from back home but unfortunately, the tastes and variety of food was very disappointing, atmosphere was dull, and waiting in a long line for food not what I was expecting for $48 !

Went there last night for the promoted Philippine Food Festival and what a disappointment and total rip off. The dishes on the promotions ADs were just that ....photos. The dishes were tasteless. I could cook better. The desserts were also bad. It was the worst dining experience we had and made worst that we had to pay $160 for the 3 of us.

Worst meal I've ever had! How on earth they can expect to charge $25 for a fettuccini pasta that had used off cream in the sauce. I have my suspicion that none of the food was made to order, the chicken burger was dry and had a 'day old' feel to me. Usually I don't mind paying a bit more for quality but in this case I believe the look of the place and the prices a great way of luring customers into believing they are in a restaurant that knows what they are doing. Please do not make the same mistake I did.

    Response from Management:
    Hi RedBetty,

Thank you for your feedback, As the Manager of the Grace cafe I take your feedback very seriously.

Im very concerned that our usally high standards at the Grace were not kept during your visit. We pride ourselves on making sure that each and every guest that comes into the Grace Cafe has an enjoyable experience, that keeps them coming back, and as a result we have many regular customers.

I do apoligise that on this occasion our food did not meet your expectations, I can assure you that all of our food is made fresh to order on site. I would like to investigate this further to ensure that this does not happen again, and as such I need to get more information. RedBetty please contact me via email mark.stack@gracehotel.com.au and I would be happy discuss your unsatisfactory meal.

Came here to use the See Sydney Buy One Get One Free promotion. Buffet Breakfast for 2 adults and one child was $29.

The restaurant is being renovated but I suspect the choice offered was quite standard. The usual cereals, tinned fruits, yoghurt. All the hot food was in heated warmers but they did also include sunny-side up eggs and omelette since these could not be cooked to order. Pancakes, danish, croissants, a selection of friands and muffins.

The coffee was only drip-filter but you could pay extra for espresso. Not bad value if you use the 2 for 1 offer but pretty ordinary for a hotel buffet breakfast.

    Response from Management:
    Dear Sweetooth,

First of all, thank you for constructive feedback. We understand during the renovation period the buffet may not be at its best due to space restrictions.

But now that the renovation is done. We have a new and larger buffet counter, offering a wide selection of hot items; pastries & breads just to name a few.

We now offer espresso coffee through an automated coffee machine. The quality of the coffee is excellent. There's also a fresh juice bar available.

Please feel free to contact me on (02) 9272 6636 for further details.

    Regards,
    Phu Tran

Went there for a buffet brekky 5 days ago. Greeted by a receptionist/senior staff that had no smile on his face whatsoever. Looked more like a grumpy old man waiting to get off work. It was only 8 in the morning gosh. Only positive thing I could take out of it was that the other senior staff offered service far more superior to all the other staff.

Severely disappointed, like others have said, bar the senior staff, all the others should wake up to themselves because I sure won't be going there again. Service was just terrible and greeted like snobs. Food was ordinary and not special. Won't be going back ever again.

The food is nothing special and very overpriced!! But one thing I have to highlight is the terrible service of the staff. Some staff do not seem to know what they are doing. They need to train the staff properly. Don't even think about going to this horrible place.
