Went here for a banquet with 20 or so people for a friends birthday. But what kind of banquet are they thinking of? there was not even half enough food for all of us to eat for dinner. A few dips and bread for 5 people to share, 1 to 2 lamb skewers and that was about it and we forked out 30 or so dollars plus 2 dollars corkage each.

Will definitely not be going back. Really bad service, we had to walk up whenever we needed help. Staff was rude and even told us off after we paid for their rip off meal because we were sitting outside. Not recommended. So many other better lebanese cuisine restaurants not far from here. Stay clear!

I often visit this restaurant- the food is terrific, the staff are friendly and the service is prompt. The owners are always chatty with their customers and they really look after their regulars. This is a great place for locals and those who want to taste authentic lebanese food. I recently held a large function here and the staff were very accommodating. My guests all commented on how tasty the food was as well how prompt the service was. Thank you to the staff - you made my 'do' a hit!!

Unfortunately I will never find out how the food there is. I had bought a voucher to try something different. When I tried to make a booking and stated that I had a voucher, I got told the place was booked out and I could come back the next week and I would get a small discount on Take-away food.

I would have thought, the idea of the voucher is to get people in the restaurant, that otherwise might not have come, to try their food and come back again and again. (I have found some fantastic restaurants that I keep going back to and recommend to my friends!). Would have been nice if they had honoured the voucher some other time if they were really so busy.

We had a voucher for 2 banquets and ordered 2 meat banquets which included hummus, baba ghanouj, fattoush, kafta, shish kebab, shish tawook and lebanese coffee and sweets (baklava) for dessert. I found the hummus fairly bland and the lamb skewers a bit overcooked, but thoroughly enjoyed the meal which was very flavoursome and fresh with nice cuts of meat.

Our meal was excellent value, but ordering a la carte or banquets without using a voucher don't look to be as good value as I didn't find there to be as much food as other banquets and felt hungry a few hours later. Still, the service was good, the meal was good and while ambience is lacking (overlooking car park), the restaurant is clean, convenient, and friendly and efficient service, so I'll definitely be back.

A hidden Beauty, not the best location which, unfortunately, doesn't give them exposure at the back of the shopping arcade (I worked in the area for 1 year and did not notice them). Food: very fresh and made to order with open kitchen setup to prove it.

Ambience: though the location is not ideal, the decoration is very nice and the place is tidy. Service: excellent engagement from the owner/waitress and checks on you without being intrusive. Value: $15 for a lunch plate is great value with unlimited bread and water jugs and side dips. Compared with a main of $20 at other restaurants, I think the value is obvious.

Great food, very fresh, not sure what the fuss about the pricing is, but if you want good food you pay the price for it. Don't go out if you're going to complain about the cost of good food. Keep up the good work!

I've been here a few times for lunch. True, it's not the cheapest Lebanese ever, but for lunch in Gordon, an area that doesn't do much inspiring food, it is a winner. The grilled eggplant is delicious, the falafel and fatoush are fresh and the dips and sauces are perfect. Having eaten at Emma's On Liberty in Enmore a couple of days before, I'd go as far as to say that the food is even on par.

The ambience is plain, but for lunch it's not really a concern and I'm sure the belly-dancing at night makes you feel like you're somewhere other than a shopping arcade. Highly recommended.

13/1/09 Overprice miserable place! I don't even think the oily food was lebanese inspired, more turkish. I have never had such dry tasteless tabouli! Never going back.

8/4/09 Ok so I decided to give it another go. Nothing has changed its not very nice at all and totally overpriced. I will not try again.

The modern room detracts from typical lebanese style. The food, dancer are excellent. The $35 banquet is bettter as you receive skewer meats then the little puff pies. 3rd visit and still impressed.

This is a great place to dine!!! The food is perfect and the services is not over the top as you get at some restaurants, these people know how to give you space!!! It is also awesome for value. Keep up the good work Gordon Lebanese Cuisine. Will be back with family and friends.
