This place is way too dark. Very unsafe on patrons considering there are stairs all around the bar. It's small and when crowded you need to collect 3 people just to go from A to be which wouldn't be very far considering how small the bar is. On a positive note though, the music was the best I've heard in a bar in a very long time. The crowd is young-ish. Not sure why the person below referred to this place as ethnic. And if the crowd does feature less Anglos and more "ethnics" does that make it less of a bar? That comment could get you into a bit of trouble buddy.

We had a confirmed guest list for the 10th, with an email sent to us and another friend to say that we had 2 guest lists on the door. We get there and the club isn't even open until July 31st! So, my friend, who's 19th we were all coming for, was completely devasted and everyone was pretty disappointed. How can a club send you back an email confirming you had a guest list when they aren't even open? Completely ridiculous, the epitome of terrible customer service.

I love the guys behind the bar and some of the promoters but the only reason I bother going to this bar as it was too small and hot, needs air-condition and there's no where to dance or really even move around. too many try hards really is an ethnic bar...its getting out dated and needs a face lift...really over it full of youngins and very egotistical guys.

A warm vibe with the comfort of having upstairs rnb and downstairs dance/ house music 10 out of 10 the guys managing the place are awesome, love being there, very nice looking crowd all very attractive... big ups to the crowd at good bar c u there soon !!!

The Goodbar Experience:

This club's got a great style and a fat load of potential. But, right now, it's a little lagging in that prospective.

The staff that run this venue are these cute little wannabe dudes who're totally inexperienced and have no idea what they're doing. To quote a previous review, "the bouncers act like it's Club 54, it's not *that* exclusive" - way to put it, dude. These are some of the biggest posers I've encountered so far. Totally over the whole door policy whereby they keep people waiting for hours so as to appear popular.

The whole club is way too small; like, the music is alright, but there's no room for dancing if that's what you're hitting this place for. The majority of the downstairs is sealed off for the whole 'private / VIPs only' thing they've got going on - and by "VIPs" I mean any chick who looks hot and smiles suggestively at the bouncers.

Yeah, this place is sweet if you're, to quote one of the bouncers at this place, "a hot babe," but try not to get fooled into the whole 'VIP' thing. You get the title of "VIP", so to make you feel special, then they give you this little card that gets you unlimited free drinks at the bar. You take advantage of that, probably get completely smashed.

I can definitely say that the staff were not all bad. The dudes at the bar, in my opinion, did their jobs with style. They were probably a little slow, but they more than made up for it with friendliness. Ditto for the chick and the dude taking the entry fees - they totally knew how to pump up the atmosphere.

As for the drinks, I have no idea whether or not the pricing was sweet. They had this whole "free Vodka 'til eleven" thing goin' on, which, of course, I have no complaints about, even if I have the capacity to see through it. By the time that was over, I was similarly over the whole place and got out of there. I wouldn't recommend it.

This place defines disappointment - I was on a VIP list, and still had to wait in line for hours. If paid the regular $15 entry fee; I'd take out my pen and stab myself on the spot. Goodbar has ratios of nearly 16 guys:1 girl and I'm very surprised it's not a gay club.

No shit about the staff being inexperienced either. One staff wanted to give my mate more than $40 in $2 coins. Not to mention the fact that they charge so heavily for softdrinks coming out of 1.25L Coke, Lift and Sprite bottles from the supermarket. This place is ethnic guys gallore; if you love that stuff- Goodbar is for you... ; give it a miss; go to havana down the road- or any other bar for that matter.

Staff are nice but such is the compact nature of the joint that naturally long lines are frequent and prices are BAD. To add to how crowded the place can get people soon find it too humid when the place is packed with pretentious men in their mid 30s who think they can pick up by shaking like an epileptic in front of inanimate (disintrested) women.

This place is tiny and needs air-con BAD. Also, last time I went, the DJ was just crap at trying to mix songs together. Wouldnt recomment it.

Too small and crowded (sweat dripping from ceiling). Sleeziest crowd I've encountered in a while. Had a weird stench, B.O. and some sought of weird cooking smell.
