We have dinner at the wedding party of a friend. The food is tasty and well prepared. The service is quick and good. But one thing that annoying the most is the music. The music and sound system is so loud and really hurt our ears. Many people have to cover their ears and can't enjoy the delicious food because of the music. The wedding organiser had complained to the senior staff, but there was nothing change. What a pity.

This restaurant has moved to John Street Cabramatta. Used to go there all the time but since it moved we went there once and will not go back again, the new place is way too small, it is upstairs and impossible to take a stroller and you will find queues of people waiting down the staircase, it is uncomfortable and way too small.

The best Yum Cha place in Sydney for value and authenticity. Variety is good, food is tasty, service is fast, the decor is a little garish but looks more traditional than most other Yum Cha, waitresses are in traditional dress which is a pleasant surprise.

We first found this little gem when we moved to Sydney a few months ago and have been quite a few times since. It's a gaudy cavern of Australasian kitcsh with daggy music playing all the time but it's mostly pretty clean and the service is quite good given the language barriers sometimes. We are always greeted with a smile and the trolleys are usually quick to come by.

A nice variety of yum cha dishes which are incredibly good value, tasty too. My only criticism is that the fried dishes are usually not served very hot. I especially recommend the fried taro and the coconut jelly. Yes, it can be loud and impersonal, but the food is good and the price is right.

I have been here several times in the past for Weddings, Dinners and Yum Cha. My review is in regards to my recent visit for Yum Cha. I haven't visited this place for many years, but one think I noticed was that all the waitresses have been replaced by mandarin speaking ones. Not that it made much difference to me, but they don't seem to grasps english as well as the cantonese speaking waitresses.
Anyway, the place was crowded, dirty and the background music is annoying. The food was good, but not great.

Fast service and average food. A great place for large groups. Value for money.

Been here for both yum cha and dinner. Unfortunately, being the only major yum cha place in Cabramatta they are rude to point of arrogance, need to be told several times when need something and vacuuming while customers are eating! Food is just generic nothing special. They really only have location going for them since they are smack bang in middle of cabramatta shopping area. Only have to go there when others couldn't be bothered going into city or elsewhere for yum cha now.

Have been coming here for yum cha regularly for years and rarely been disappointed. The food is fresh and tasty, their stuffed egg plant is very good, so are all the other dishes I have tried there. On weekends the place is usually packed with people, a reflection of the quality and value of their food, excellent, maybe the best yum cha place in Sydney?

Good value yum cha but without the frills. We stumbled upon Golden Star after the long wait at Iron Chef on the other side of the station and wondering around Cabramatta looking for a yum cha place. Food was hot and had all the usual favourites, for 5 people the bill came to $105. It's a little out of the way for yum cha but would definitely come back if I was in the area.
