I get the comments about the substandard service, but this is a yumcha like other yumchas that is constantly busy where staff are always stretched. So I'm not going to give their service a '1'.

The food and ambience are fairly good quality. The only thing is that pork dumplings and hot chicken feet are not available.

Contrary to the blatant lies of some other respondents, this place is also one of the cheapest places to have yumcha in Sydney ($12-$14 per head).

When a place is constantly busy you know they're doing something right. This yumcha is one of the best in the area.

To my taste, food is on the verge of just acceptable. Dumplings are a little tough and have too much pastry. Setting-wise, the restaurant does not seem clean.

I'm Chinese and love yumcha. Just rating the food: Below Average Yumcha.

Had never tried the yumcha in Burwood before, now I know to never try it again! Seafood dumplings weren't fresh and the pastry was not made properly. Unusual fried dumpling had a sweet yellow bean paste filling, very strange.

Surprised the Burwood Chinese community tolerates this restaurant, maybe they should demand better yumcha or maybe they go to Strathfield where the yumcha is better!

I came here for yum cha for the very first time but I will never return. Waiters were rude and acted like they were handing out free food. The waiters push the food trolleys right pass you and only stop at your table if you are Chinese. Everything is written in Chinese and they make no attempt to explain things if you are not.

At the end, the bill came to a total of $xx.20. We put out a note, a 10c coin and two 5c coins to make up the 20c of the bill. The male waiter came over and picked up the tray with our money and picking up the silvers, he literally threw them back on the table and said "we don't accept 5c". I was thinking fine, so I reached into my bag searching for a 20c and said to him "well I've got a 20c coin here". He quickly hurried off and said, "No I give you change". He came back with a whole bunch of coins in change. It seemed like he deliberately wanted to break the note up into heaps of coins so we could tip him all of our change. Needless to say, we grabbed every last coin and left.

At the end of the day, I know it's a Chinese restaurant so I know not to expect any service, but come on, where are some people's manners! I am a paying customer and I have done nothing wrong. The only thing I am guilty of, is choosing to eat at this pathetic excuse for a restaurant.

In an area with multiple chinese restaurants this is probably one of the worst. The food is bland and it is blatantly obvious that the menu apart from the live seafood is poorly defrosted and is definitely not fresh. It is pitiful that they try to pass off seasonal vegetable dishes as boiled asian "greens" which end up bland and overcooked.

As for value it boasts low prices but in reality they overcharge you heavily on live seafood where a 800g crab would mysteriously end up being over 1.5 kgs. I would definitely recommend you try one of the many other seafood restaurants in Burwood, not this one.

The waiters are extremely rushed and rude. The food is 'discounted' depending on whether you pay cash which is absolutely dodgy. The food is what is expected and nothing more. Typical Chinese seafood restaurant.

This was the most ridiculous yum cha experience I've ever had... And yes I'm Chinese! Food was tasteless and disappointing after waiting for half an hour for a table. The rice noodle rolls tasted sour and I advised the manager and she was as rude as ever as if I lied and gave me this "evil look"! Shame on you Golden Globe!!! If you provided decent food and service then people will return, otherwise you are bound to shut doors soon with the way you are going!

Truly awful - one of the worst Chinese restaurants I've eaten at. The staff was incredibly rude - they were either unattentive, or when you caught their attention, they were very rude. Food was very ordinary. Decor was very shabby.

Don't come here. They publicise one price but then charge you another. We were even forced to get money out from the ATM because they only took cash. How dodgy is that!? Food was average, decoration was shabby and bleak. Not a nice experience.

Unfortunately, not good service, food was only o.k., and a bit overpriced. Not impressed when I got ripped off for the mud crab because I couldn't read the chinese menu which was about $20 cheaper. Will not be coming back especially when there are so many other better restaurants along Burwood rd.
