Tried this place for lunch one Friday and were pleasantly surprised. Particularly impressed by the updated decor (obviously done since the 2009 reviews I've just read about), attentive and friendly service and the veges were fresh, the meat tender and evrything was tasty. Enjoyed it so much that we went for dinner the next night (Sat) with a group of 7 and we're going again next week with another couple to celebrate our birthdays.

Quick takeaway Chinese and Malaysian meals. Just the right amount of spice in the Singapore noodles.

Food is always fresh, well seasoned and tasty. Service has always been fast and efficient. The décor is a little dated but who notices that with take-away?

If you like 80’s RSL type Chinese food this is the place for you. We were in a group of 12 and ordered many dishes they all tasted the same, bland and tasteless. Prices were above average for a suburban Chinese restaurant.

Well after dining here on sat night, I now know why I don't go there anymore. The food was tastless, and out of the 4 mains we ordered only the Pork w/ black pepper and honey was decent. The special fried rice had minimal ingredients and just so bland that I had to add soy sauce to it.

Just ordered some take aways and we were totally disappointed with the food. Only the Chilli Chicken was up to scratch with the rest either too oily or pretty bland and everything looked as just been reheated. Wouldn't recommend and would never re-order again as there are better places in this area.

This place has all the trimmings of a pricey restaurant but, unfortunately, lacks the substance. The good old favourites such as spring rolls and dim sums are unreasonably priced for the small 3 you receive. The main meals were a bit too gluggy and bland for my liking. Although some people may prefer this watered down version of Chinese food and flavours, it was not for me.

Goldon Coronet lacks a competitive edge, there are Chinese competitors within 5-10 minutes drive who have nicer tasting food at a much more palatable price.

If you like REAL chinese food, give this place a miss. However, if honey prawn and sweet and sour pork are your idea of "adventurous eating" then this is your place. They charged $3 for tea, outrageous!

Well above average! Excellent honey chicken, and satay prawns. Their service is also very good. Quick and efficient. Tasty and cosy.

I've been there a few times and maybe 2 out of the 10 times I have I've not been happy and that's only because of the cold service. They are very fast but once my last bit of my lovely mongolian chicken was put in my mouth my bowl was taken away without them even asking me if I was done. Fried rice is nice too and the chicken san choy bow. Recommended. I think it's a nice place to go.
