We went here for dinner on a friday night, we went in quite late at 10 pm but that did not change the fact that we had a fantastic time. The food was fresh and cooked to perfection. We had salmon sashimi to start (which is so fresh and delicious) then the peking duck (which a favourite of ours, we try it at any chinese restaurant we go to).

We had the pipis in XO sauce, recommend ordering fry bread to soak up the sauce as it is fantastic. The salt and pepper mud crab is delicious can get qutie pricey but is worth it all the same.

Overall the experience eating here is a meal full of fresh food and fantastic flavours, it is a great experience that I can not recommend highly enough, it can get to be a bit expensive but totally worth it.

Pipis in xo sauce, lobster, crab, salt and pepper squid.. are all my favourites at this place! It is one place you can rely on to always have a good big meal although it has upped its prices quite a lot over the last few years.

The service is always there, even if they don't really show much care - they mean well. I have been visiting for many many years and will always be a big fan!! The only thing I don't like is when I make a booking at 8pm I want to eat at 8pm, not an hour later but otherwise it's all good!!!

Best Chinese restaurant in Sydney in my opinion, fresh food and excellent services. Just always a bit pricey for Chinese food.

Best + freshest seafood I have tried anywhere including the islands where I am from. A bit of a rip off though, but it's all good every now and then.

The food is superb, we had a table of 8 for a birthday party. Had a great selection of fresh seafood, lobster, fish and crab. Even the vegetables had so much flavour. The service is okay, but had to repeat ourselves a few times. Love that Chinese beer - tin taso I think?

We were there for dinner without a reservation and had to wait 45 minutes for a seating only to find the quality of the service and food left much to be desired. We orderd three soft drinks and were presented with bottles with straws ... had the toughest time getting glasses for our drinks.

The worst was yet to come. We ordered chilly prawns (my favourite) ... wow - what a disappointment! This would have to be the first time ever that I have sent food back to the kitchen and cancelled the order. The Chilly Prawns tasted as if it had been contaminated with cold cuts.

Overall extremely disappointing dining experienece with staff protraying the perception that they were doing you a favour! Never again. Golden Century most overrated restaurant in Sydney by a mile!!!

The over-crowded dirty fish/seafood tanks at the front of the restaurant were almost enough to put us off going in there. It was definitely enough to put us off ordering the fresh seafood. However, the dishes we ordered were delicious, served quickly by competent waiters. The teapot was always filled. The salt-and-pepper calamari was our fave dish of the night.

Had a quick meal here late-ish on a Friday night (10:30 - 11pm) and I really enjoyed it. My budget couldn't stretch to the live seafood items, but I had salmon sashimi, half a doz oysters, and a duck in crab meat sauce dish with steamed rice. All were very good, and it's good to see that GC doesn't just trade on the fact it's a late opener - the food is genuinely really good.

Service was perfunctory, but given the constant flow of customers and the already full venue, it's what I expected. They took my order, got it right, and got it to me quickly. What else could I expect? I'd definitely go back with friends, and with a bigger budget to enjoy the live seafood, fresh from the tank.
