A lovely spot up top when it is sunny, however, lacking in other areas which could be put down to poor management. There is a bar on the roof top, however, they seem to send you down the long staircase on a number of occasions. The 1st Bulmers we received was off and we were sent downstairs for a mineral water.
The staff don't seem to really want to be there and nobody is really sure of what table has ordered what food. The burgers my mates ordered looked pretty good, however, a pretty steep burger for $20. I ordered the haloumi salad but by the time it got to me the haloumi was cold and hard, the rocket lacked lustre and freshness, a bit of a disappointment really. Such potential, both the staff and the food just need to be cared for a bit more.

Had lunch here last Wednesday. Hubby had the salt and pepper calamari (which he really enjoyed) and I had a big bowl of wedges. We sat outside in the sun to eat, enjoyed a couple of beers and everything was good - the food, the service, the prices.

We turned up on for after work drinks on a thursday night. The staff down at the bottom bar informed us that there was live music upstairs on the rooftop.
We went up and had a look and were really impressed with the acoustic show. He was a great singer and really talented. It really suited the night, we all huddle around listening to this guy in the glow and warmth of the heaters.
We ended staying for dinner and the food was great and really reasonably priced! I had the chicken burger and it was seriously insane for a burger!

We went here for lunch with friends in the rooftop bistro. 3 flights of rickety old stairs to get to the rooftop was a challenge for ageing knees. But we were well rewarded with fabulous views over the Quay, Opera House and harbour Bridge to middle harbour and over the Rocks on the other side. Drinks were reasonable and beers were cold and served in a glass (no plastic during daytime on the roof). $10 steaks were pretty varaible, some good, some that cut like truck tires and saw a few on other plates that were so rare the other half must still be running around the paddock.
Chicken Parmi was good (2 sizes) with napoli sauce (salad a bit disappointing, mostly mixed leaves not much tomato etc. Some olives and fetta or char-grilled peppers would have liven things up here). Others in our group had the Chicken twisters (glorified kids food) and Chicken Caesar salad was good as well. Nice big umbrellas gave protection from mid-afternoon sun on a warmish day. Harbour breeze cooled things down but was gusty as afternoon progressed.
Great for harbour views and to cool off with drinks on a hot day. Food reasonable but not sensational or that interesting, all our dishes needed a lift of some sort as they were fairly bland. Would go again or recommend to friends. Need to be fit to meet challenging stairs.

Excellent view, the atmosphere was fantastic! I recommend you have the white Sangria, it has lychees, wow and you get a jug for around $20!
Definitely a place to return. The food is great too!

Starting a big day out on a lung crushing hot day in Sydney we gathered on the rooftop at the Glenmore. On a hot day I'd certainly advise a cab instead of walking from Circular Quay.
Yes it's another old school pub in The Rocks but the view on a fine day is awesome. Settled with drinks we searched through the menu to have some lunch.
Nothing spectacular here, usual pub grub but with heightened pricing. The steak sandwich was serviceable, the Chicken Parm hung off the plate but the standout was the Haloumi burger. We paid just under $20 a plate for this and whilst the mains were great, the chips (and I'm a big fan of the pub chip) were overcooked, crinkle cut and devoid of flavour.
Come for a drink, show off the view but the food isn't why you visit here. Also, I hope you have a faint sense of smell due to all of last night's alcohol spilt on the carpeted floor, brought to life by the heat. It smelt like sewage.

Great location. Quite uptight about serving drinks towards the end of the night (12). Can't order a round of drinks without bringing your whole table of mates to the bar so they can be probed with the drunkometer (everyone's annoyed by 12 o'clock you senseless people).
Following on from that they won't serve whiskey with any less than half a glass of ice in it. "Can't serve shots after 10 pm mate." it's not a shot numnuts, it's a fuggin whiskey. If I wanted a shot I wouldn't have ordered a Jamesons. Who the fudge shoots Jamesons (aside from the guys in The Wire)? Yeah, no one. Other than that this place is awesome.

I went here on a Tuesday night. It was pretty quiet and service was pleasant. I had the beefburger and it was sensational. I don't think you can find beer that's more reasonably priced anywhere else in the Rocks.
The only thing that I found rather disturbing and disrespectful is that while I was waiting for my drink order, I could hear two of the senior staffs (I assume they were senior staffs as they weren't dressed like the rest of the staff) talking to one another behind the bar. They were discussing the physique of the girls working there. Now I am a father and my daughter is about the same age as the staff there, thinking that kind of stuff is one thing, but to actually hear that kind of talk while waiting for my drinks, that's just sleezy and completely unacceptable.
How do you justify that as a hospitality professional? How do you justify that as a someone's superior? It's shocking.

Large hearty pub meals, standard The Rocks pricing. Does a decent steak. I'd steer clear of the bread and dips though.
