What a treat! The lights of the city and Anzac bridge moving over the stillness of Black Wattle Bay is enough to make the night, and the food is simply stunning. You have to try the signature snapper pie - delicate pastry with rich sauce and generous amount of fish.

Went here this week for a birthday celebration. Position and ambience are really excellent. Entrees were very good, ham hock croquettes and a fish and scallop dish. Followed that with the superb Snapper Pie and the Barramundi. Desserts of cannoli and a wonderful dish of watermelon, strawberries, pannacotta and rose flavoured cream. Interesting that there wasn't a prawn dish at all, not complaining, I just thought that shellfish, apart from oysters, were a bit under-represented. Service was top class, the pocket hurt but the meal didn't let us down.

Despite only being able to get an 8pm booking on a Wednesday night, there wasn't a table ready for us when we arrived. However the manager was absolutely fantastic, and looked after us with drinks and an entree. We really enjoyed our choices from the specials board, and particularly liked that the menu was seasonal. The only real downside was that the restaurant was quite noisy, and also very dark (I couldn't see what I was eating). Overall a very pleasant evening.

It's a fairly nice, quiet cafe to have catch-up lunches with friends. Staffs were friendly and the food came out relatively quick.
However, one out of the two poached eggs I had was way over-boiled (the other one was perfect), so consistency probably needs a little work.
The portion is just right; overall, it was a very pleasant place to lunch. Prices were average, it was comparably cheaper than the ones next door.

Went here for dinner last night.
We made a booking for 2, but they gave us a table for 6. 10 minutes later we were invited to take a table for 2, but we decided to stay where we were. I asked if there was going to be more people coming, they said no, you'll be fine.
Mains take a while to come out, but just before they did, we were asked to move... again!
They put us in the back of the place, right under the heater.
Drank my mango lassi, only to find a fly at the bottom of it.
Food is quite ordinary, the place is ok, but we found our first and last experience there ordinary too.

My family and I made reservations for Sunday (Mother's Day) 2013, reservation was for 2pm. This was my first time at this restaurant. The food was fantastic. Between 6 people, we ordered a spanish salad, garlic bread, 1 x chicken and chorizo paella (between 2) and 1 x seafood paella (between 4). The food was awesome, really good quality, very tasty and well worth the trip.
With Paella, it's normal to expect a wait, and it was well worth it. We waited about 40 mins for the mains but we had entrees and we demolished two fantastic litres of Sangria between the 6 of us. The bill came to just over $200 between 6 people and we were all very satisfied. The restaurant is picturesque and in a great location. Overall, well worth it.

We've noticed a couple of changes--slightly smaller portions, different coffee & increase in prices. Though not enough to make us want to change cafe, Naggy's Cafe is still one of our fave's. The veg breakfast is most satisfying & the eggs bene is always cooked to perfection.

The happy hour (buy one drink and get one free between 6 and 7pm) is a lame excuse to rip customers off. I went there with my wife and son on a Friday night. We arrived at 630pm to enjoy the happy hour before our meal and ordered our first drinks at 635. During our meal I accepted what I thought was my "free" drink. Turns out if you don't ask for your free drink before 7pm you have to pay for it. Talk about duping customers.

I have to be honest, probably the worst tapas I have ever had. It wasn't off, just tasteless and generic. The chorizo tasted like a home brand sausage and the chilli prawns were chewy and overcooked. The prices couldn't be justified. The service was ok but could not make up for the food.

I went to la boheme with my family for my birthday. We all really enjoyed the meal.
However it was sort of dented by the waiter outright refusing to accept an entertainment book voucher! Now 7 people eating / 25% off voucher (up to $35) / accepting this voucher would not have been the end of the world for a meal costing $500 for our table! There wasn't even a public holiday on the day so there was no excuse!
I have complained to the Entertainment book! You shouldn't advertise in the book if you don't want customers to use the vouchers!

Where do I start appauling!!!! And we didn't even get to try the food after being there 1 1/2 hours!!!! We arrived and was seated, all around us were the remnants of the previous diners. Every table was full of dirty crockery and food all over the floor!! There was one waitress dealing with everyone!! It took 15mins before we were asked if we would like a drink and another 15 mins for the wine to arrive. We then waited another 1/2 hour before we were asked what we would like to order.
Starters were popadams. So half an hour later no sign of them. Two other tables had been seated in the meantime after the waitress had to rush around clearing the dirty tables. Their food started to arrive, so we got up and asked to pay for the wine to leave, to be chased through the restaurant by a guy saying, "Its coming. Its coming!!!" Totally rubbish. Don't waste you time going here!!!!! As I said you have to score at least one on here but we didn't get to taste anything!!!

What a pity that the excellent food in this restaurant weren't matched by the service or ambiance! The tables were very close together--I was almost sitting on the lap of the man at the next table. There are several waiters who seem to do a lot of running around but not achieving much. It was ages before our order was taken. We had to ask several times for our water glasses to be refilled and the same for our wine -- it was never refilled and one of our party finally had to get up, retrieve the bottle himself, and do his own pouring. For this they charge corkage?!
Prices are the average Sydney high, but if I am going to spend that kind of money on an evening out, I will go to where there is actually some service, no matter how good the food is. I would also add that this was not a Saturday night (I have given up eating in restaurants on Saturday evenings) but a Tuesday night. This was our first time eating here, and sorry, Glebe Point Diner, you lost a potential regular customer because there does not seem to be anyone in charge of the front of house, seeing that things are running smoothly and that customers are being taken care of.

Came for a weekday lunch deal with paella for 4 with included Sangria. Restaurant almost empty at the time. Wooden chairs and tables, and spanish-themed paintings charming. Staff stiff but reasonably attentive. Food out of the kitchen promptly and hot.
Range of tapas reasonable, simple and great for sharing - pricey but comparable to similar restaurants. Paella light and airy, very generous portion (perhaps for 6?), seafood not overcooked. Sangria full of fruits but lacking body.
Parking free close by at Broadway shopping centre for 3hrs. Great for larger groups.

Darbar Restaurant in Glebe, bad experienced ever had in my life a week ago: It was my friend's after wedding small treat so we call for booking no one was able to answer call, so left voice message to call back, waited for 1 hr no reply then lucky after 3 min call was answered so book for 3 ppl by 7pm.
First impression we ended up with the worst table in the restaurant was right behind the bar, with very little room to move, we have to request wait staff to give us other table, restaurant was having just 5 tables on Friday night thou wait staff said harshly let me call my manager, then after that we got table for 4 ppl, we had order 2 special Banquets, and other friend try $29.00 unlimited food menu says was interesting, but with condition need to finish all food then only other food will be serve and with one more condition can't spend more than 2 hrs in restaurant, so my friend took a chance we order food with few changes in given Banquet menu, impress within no time entree was in table, but after having it realise was waiting for us from past hours and place on table that also half raw in cook in tandoo that was entree.
We have waited for the main to come for more than an hour one by one we start calling wait staff, we get food by today as we r getting hungry reply was like dumb they didn't understand proper english just nodded head, last food arrive on table with no smile everything on table with 3 wait staff for 3 curry and few naan and main plates, we need to ask one by one what curry name?
Our hunger died but we start strange lamb korma and lamb roganjosh was so dried and tough that it feels like chewing bubblegum with watery sauce (curry) over all. Service was disinterested and body language looks like what ever had being given food just have it with no question pay and leave we need to shut down.
We all mate sum up hear by Kitchen did not look clean nor did bathrooms too, Would not recommend at all, Food is expensive below the standard with inexperience Chef, and will not be coming here again to pay this much money for such slack disappointing service which essentially tends to be racist towards the same community would like to leave my name and contact too but that would be too much, above matter will state how bad experience we had in Darbar for our friend after marriage treat!

Great hidden secret, very local, good special as a modern pub should be. I had lamb rump with chimmichurri? Sauce and my mrs enjoyed smoke salmon and pot salad (not too light not too filling). My beer was nicely chilled, wife was surprised to c a nice coffee in the pub.

The food here is very ordinary and not good value. I ordered the fresh snapper and fennel salad with a side of hand cut chips - cost $30. The hand cut chips were frozen chips, the fish wasn't fresh and the fennel salad was missing the fennel! This chief thinks his customers will accept whatever he dishes out.

Food was okay. It's my first time having Spanish, so i don't know how it compares. It's very loud so you have to shout over each other to be heard. Service was very disappointing. We tried to order something but the wait walked straight past us several times. I felt it was overpriced for the food we got, probably not somewhere I'd go again.
