Loved the food, especially after past experiences at other restaurants. Have been here several times and it has never failed to live up to our expectations. Clean, simple, well presented food at a more than reasonable price. Staff is friendly, helpful and an all round good time.

I just can't get enough of this place and agree with all the previous comments. Whenever I try something different in the area I regret not simply returning to this old faithful. I really love the complimentary side dishes that come with the meal, such as miso, fried beans, a slice of omelette and/or edimame.

Their teriyaki vegetable is just the best, a smooth, sweet and tangy sauce with a wide variety of vegetables and sprouts hides pieces of tasty silken tofu, with a side bowl of rice to soak up any remaining sauce if you can stop yourself from licking the plate.

With this as our staple main we usually go for seaweed salad (great strong flavour and very fresh), some sushi rolls (great variety), or agedashi tofu (crisp light batter, tasty dipping sauce). Finally their loose leaf green tea is a must, it has grains of brown rice and a slight sesame tinge which is a really nice twist!

If you want failproof casual Japanese with great service and a nice variety with flavours to entice, I cannot recommend this place more.

I used to live down the road from this sushi shop, so I ate there basically weekly and I always enjoyed my food. Sure it looks small and cramped but once your seated its really nice and informal. The girls are always so friendly and attentive. The tempura and inari rolls are so yummy! As are the noodles and I agree with 'mode', they do offer additional food when you're seated, just so you can try it. Very friendly very cute and a real, unrefined place to eat. Is a recommendation to everyone.

This is an unpretentious place for quick meals. Its decor is basic and cramped, but the staff are attentive, quick and friendly, and the food is fresh and tasty. My sashimi was excellent, the sushi was fresh, and the main ( a crunchy deep fried pork strip dish, whose name I have forgotten) was good without being outstanding. It's a nice little place for a quick lunch or dinner, made special by the really pleasant service. I will be back for more.

This is one of the best Japanese restaurants I've been to and it's great value as well. The decor is plain but the service is incredibly friendly. Every time we've been there they have always offered us a little additional something. Some fish to try, or edamame. They always make you feel incredibly welcome. Well worth a visit if you're after an informal get together and some great food.

This little Japanese restaurant is a firm favourite. The freshest ingredients you could hope for, combined with outstanding value. Sure, the drawback is the size of this establishment but I've rarely had to wait too long for a seat. The staff are polite and friendly and maintain a traditional demeanor. When you don't feel like sitting down at a pretentious restaurant but would like a quality Japanese meal, this is the place for you.

This is a delightful little sushi restaurant with better nori rolls than I've tried elsewhere in Sydney. They always have plenty of seaweed salad and the service is always cheerful with a smile - they make you feel like you've made their day by stepping through the door. While nori rolls are my staple there, my husband and I enjoyed the bento boxes which were a superb healthy and delicious option when we tried them for dinner. Keep it up guys, I love having you up the road.

We went here looking for a cheap and cheerful dinner and we found it. The restaurant is tiny, about 3 laminated tables and a small bench. They were predominantly doing takeaway the night we visited. It's not somewhere you'd go for the ambience. The food was excellent. We tried a sushi and sahimi combination platter, miso soup and vegetable tempura. All the portions were generous and the sushi and sahimi were super fresh.

On top of this, the delightful waitress presented us with a free bowl of edamame and some exquisite grilled salmon belly sushi to try and to finish off some sliced oranges. The value was outstanding, far and away the best value Japanese I've visited in Sydney. The $8.50 dinner boxes are a bargain! I suspect we'll be back on a weekly basis. What a perfect local!
