Great place for lunch and coffee. It has been here a while now and they know their customers. Good Portions and excellent value.

Had a solid lunch time dining experience here. I very much enjoyed my chicken caesar salad and the portion served was extremely large. It took me the best part of an hour to finish my meal. The hot chocolate was nice too.

The below reviewer mentioned that the service was "slick". Not too sure if I had the same experience regarding the service. I found the waitstaff were friendly but we often had to repeat our order, perhaps, this was because they were unfamiliar with the menu (particularly the specials board outside)? Anyway, it's a minor point so I won't dwell on it.

Altogether I would recommend this cosy cafe to anyone in East Sydney. As a bonus, it's an "art gallery" cafe so there's always pretty photos on the wall to look at.

Go here fairly regularly for coffees and lunches with friends. Service is always slick and accompanied by smiles. Food great and excellent value.

I have heard of the great pasta dishes they serve here. I lived quite close by and went to try for myself with my boyfriend. It was a lovely sunday and the restaurant had a really nice, relaxed friendly atmosphere. We were both surprised and delighted at the quality of the dishes. We had the Tawook (very tender marinated chicken, light rocket salad and served with lebanese bread and one of the best hommus I have ever eaten!).

We also had the pasta which was perfect! Portions were great. Excellent value! Great experience. After reading the other reviews, I will definitely check out the coffee next time!

Get the latte from the owner, Carlos!! This man knows what he's doing as a barista!! the daily specials are very reasonable, fresh and you can trust what these guys put in their dishes...they have the best fruits and veg suppliers in East Sydney and there is taste in their food - equally cooked well and very very busy for breakfast on the weekend. Get there early or sleep in an extra hour, it's worth it!!!! Thanks Carlos - Great Job!!!

I always have an enjoyable time at this cafe. Friendly service, smiles all round and most importantly awesome coffee. Its a great place to meet friends for a casual get together in a relaxed and easy going atmosphere. Its just one of those rare places where you feel right at home.

I have always been satisfied with the food and service at Giotto for over 5 years. The atmosphere is very casual and friendly and a perfect fit for Stanley Street dining.
