Overview
Ginger offers a great atmosphere of a beautiful restaurant, fantastic service and amazingly tasty Indian authentic food. It can accommodate up to 80-100 patrons. Ginger can also arrange private parties as requested and really stands out amongst all Indian restaurants in Sydney.
Restaurant was nice and quiet on a tuesday night, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner with the Chicken Talai and Butter Chicken very very nice. Chilli Prawns are also nice entree. Service was good but then again we were nearly alone in the restaurant. Highly recommended.
Love the look of the restaurant, renovated cottage. My date loved the modern decor and color so I was happy. Was busy on the weekend but service and food maintained at a high level and the serving portions are value for money! Most importantly its BYO too.
Excellent pakoras and the tandoori is by far the best I've tried anywhere. The smiling waitresses, hot and spicy aromas emanating from the kitchen and pleasant surroundings made the whole experience kind of euphoric.
We had our function last Thursday and it was excellent. The food was superb and plentiful and the staff were very attentive. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends and colleagues.
Fantastic atmosphere! (semi fine dinning). Friendly attentive wait staff. Service was fast, especially considering it was a busy Saturday night!! Food was to die for (the best we have had in a long time). Good value for money!! We will definitely be back. This restaurant stands out from the rest!!
I've come here twice. Being from an Indian background I'm very critical of my own nationality food. I have to start with the decor.. Have never seen such a good decor and atmosphere in an Indian restaurant. One of the top decors definitely.
Next was the service which was very good and fast. I suppose because it was a weeknight. But yet the waiters were great and made you feel really comfortable.
The menu have a variety of different dishes with your basics as well, which really enticed me and got my mouth watering. Unfortunately my expectations were probably too high cus the food was not satisfactory or in balance with the high decor. I've heard their tandoori and other basics are really good.
I would say the food was good but not really authentic. Flavours seemed all over the place. But in the end they gave a good serving and good food if you don't mind a bit of hotch potch food. But definitely go there for your tandoori and pakora entrees. Loved the place.
