I bought a peanut butter cupcake from the Chatswood Ghermez store. It was absolutely terrible! The cupcake was very small compared to the size of others I have had at different boutique cupcake stores. The icing was disastrous on multiple accounts. Firstly the cake to icing ratio was wrong with only a small amount of icing. The Icing was tasteless, air filled and a very unpleasant texture.

The cake itself was extremely dry and only had a hint of peanut butter taste. Take my advice, Save yourself the time, money and effort, do not bother visiting Ghermez!

Terrible... had a red velvet cupcake from the george st store and it tasted not nice. Not to mention it's more expensive than other cupcake shops. The other flavours were also dry. Wouldn't recommend.

This place has more interesting flavored cupcakes and I think their pistachio and rosewater one is nice, with small communal table to sit and eat otherwise just take away for later. I must have been lucky as the times I have ordered the cupcakes weren't dry at all.

This is by far the best cupcake in Sydney! Pistachio & Rose Water Cake with White Chocolate Buttercream is my favourite. I can't go pass Ghermez and not get this cupcake! I have tried others - such as Red Velvet Chocolate Cake, Vanilla, Strawberry, Sticky Date but Pistachio is still the best! The cupcakes are moist and the buttercream is one of the best! Love it! More Ghermez cupcakes please.

I don't understand what people are talking about. The cupcakes are disgusting. I've tried them several times, each time hoping the last was just a bad batch, but each time didn't fail to disappoint again. The cupcakes are so dry and old tasting. Either 5 days old or just a really bad recipe. Have you people never had a decent tasting cake? Packet cake from the supermarket tastes better.

Worst cupcake I have eaten in Sydney. My cupcake was dry and not moist. Very disappointing! I threw it away after a few bites.

I just felt like home! I did not expect to have a dulce de leche cupcake in Australia just like my Argentinean grandmother would make it. I usually come early morning, with my twins, before the shop is actually opened and I have always experienced a great service. I would definitely recommend them!

Too many chocolate based cupcakes and not enough of any with no chocolate in them. I prefer the other cupcake shop in Spring St. Service was slow even though I was the only person there.
