Let's see... The service there is horrific, I can probably get better service at my local McDonald's store. Waiters there are absolutely rude and obnoxious. It was roughly a 40 minute wait for my meal, even though the restaurant was filled up by 3 tables, including my own. I gotta say, food was great there, this place has honestly gone downhill, especially the service.

Food was nice, but it made me feeling quite sick afterwards. Not sure if it was too much oil or the meat wasn't fresh. I wouldn't recommend this place for a good meal or service.

They need to open at 11am (Monday to Friday) instead of opening at midday (Monday to Friday).

Don't mind their omelettes as they are quite huge and the same goes to their light snacks being their burgers as they are massive.

Good restaurant, food is good with affordable pricing, large servings of food too with friendly staff. Don't know why people are complaining of the large portions, better than paying a high price for an almost empty plate. Definitely going back.

Please don't even consider this place people, the food is really bad and what top it is the service. The waiter wanted to kick us out cause he wanted us to order mains instead of dessert. We said that we were here to have dessert and drinks only and he said, unless it is over $40 between the 2 of us, then please leave! How rude! never will even consider this place! don't bother!

The service and food were both awfully bad! My friend and I went there today at lunch time and ordered a chicken pesto pasta which was very sour. When we enquired the waiter and he was judging whether we ever had chicken pesto pastas before! I will never ever step into this cafe again and will not recommend this cafe for my friends.

Ate here yesterday with my husband. I ordered beef nachos which were Terrible! it was clearly bolognese mince, even had chunks of carrot and whole tomatoes in it, with no hint of Mexican spices at all! It was so disappointing, didn't taste Mexican in the slightest!

Waitress was in no hurry to make our drinks either, and there was only 3 occupied tables in the restaurant! The only redeeming thing is the size of the meals, they are huge! But at just under $20 for a "light lunch" they would want to be big.

We went to George's Cafe for a birthday. Service was terrible. I had to ask for water and a fork 5 times. Food was not the best, my greek salad was so soggy as it was placed under the chicken with mushroom creamy sauce. Not sure if they have had a change of management. Not happy. I was very disappointed.

Great Service. That's it. Greek salad smothered in some sort of creamy dressing, what the? ordered seafood basket/platter, drenched in sauce/gravy whatever, could hardly stomach it. Don't know why I keep getting convinced to give it another go, always disappoints, if it wasn't in burwood, I would never go!

We went out to Georges Cafe for fathers day, I'd been looking forward to a good steak. I ordered Rib-eye steak with Diane sauce, chips and salad. It was served in what looked like a bowl, with a huge helping of salad (large lettuce leaves) and fat chips, all of which filled the plate. Squeezed in with this were two pieces of steak. There was no space to cut your food, and it was very difficult to eat, without food falling off your plate.

The Pièce de résistance though was the Diane sauce, which had been poured over Everything - steak, chips and even the lettuce. What's worse, the sauce tasted ready-made and absolutely awful, so I didn't even have the option to do without the sauce. The only good point of the outing was the waitress, she was really quite pleasant and attentive on a busy night. My suggestions? Serve the food on platters, cut the salad into edible portions, slimmer chips, and serve the sauce in a separate bowl with a spoon so the diner can decide how much he wants.

I dined at palm breeze the other day and I waited minimum 50 minutes to get my food, so its not only georges cafe?

I've been going to georges to eat for years now, and I can only say I've noticed an improvement. The food is nice, however, I do agree with the portions, they can get pretty massive, but for the price you're paying for the plate, I'd say thats worth it. If you can't finish the plate, might want to consider packing left overs to take home?

Overall, I would recommend Georges Cafe. Nice food, nice place, I mean its Always busy, so that should definitely say something.
