I have been going to this restaurant at least once a fortnight for the past two years, and I am yet to be disappointed. The food is delicious and while it is somewhat pricey it is worth it. The service is lively and the waitstaff know me and always welcome me and my mother when we eat there. I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a new place to eat.

Decide to go here since I noticed it was full when driving past the day before. Service times was really great, the wait between meals was reasonable and we weren't kept wondering as to where our was. Staff were friendly and accommodating, I had to ask for a steak knife though. My wife and I were both happy with our meals. The food is a bit expensive, but definitely worth it. We will return to try the rest of the menu.

Went here on a Saturday night with a booking. The service was horrendous! Waited 2 hours before our mains came out. Upon questioning multiple staff about how long for the food, they said they would "check on it" but without actually doing anything. There was 2 other large groups, so it appeared their attention was turned to them. It was not until 10 minutes before our mains arrived that one of the waitstaff actually approached us to let us know they don't serve entrees and mains together and they only start serving mains once all the entrees have been served.

This should have been made clear from the beginning as not everyone on the table ordered entrees! We were sitting there starving! Once the food arrived, 3 orders had to be sent back because was not cooked properly! Overall, the food was only mediocre and also pricey. Not happy and will definitely not be returning!

A last minute booking the Saturday night before fathers day with the young family. The Stuffed Zucchini flower entree was not the best I've had, however, the rest of the food and staff made for a very enjoyable celebration. We will definitely be back soon.

Been here twice. First time was very unimpressed with mediocre Italian pasta, and bottle of wine between 4 amounting to $70/ head. 2nd time was with a bigger group, food was good, although a little pricey.

I regularly eat at this restaurant. I find that the food is always perfect, I love the steak with mushroom. Their risotto is good too. They also do a range of cocktails at a reasonable price. Probably one of the more classy restaurants in Liverpool and has never let me down. Make sure you book though, always busy on the weekend.

We went here for a Wednesday lunch and the food was perfect. We had a garlic pizza with antipasto platter to share for entrée. The steak for main was perfectly cooked with the baked cheesy potatoes that were served with the steak were really tasty and well cooked. All the other mains were perfect and we all went away happy and making sure we return there soon. Service was great also as soon as we arrived made to feel really welcome and our orders taken quickly.

This is our 4th visit to this fantastic restaurant great service, very attentive staff, food cooked to perfection, nothing was too hard for the two floor staff helping with elderly ladies, wheelchair help, google help, friendly and just really nice people, once again far too much food so could not fit in the desserts.

Went with my girlfriend and had the seafood platter. Overall the food was great, but the platter was a little bit oily. We had the arancini and pizzetta for starters. They were great and the servings were value for money.

Overall the service was good, but could have been better for drinks service. Would go there again to try the pasta, they looked really good. Overall experience and venue was great and recommended.

Gemelle Review: Ambience: 7. Gemelle has been recently renovated, it has a nice fresh and modern appeal through out the dining room, also had a very welcoming feeling. Value: 6 The food Gemelle serves has room for improvement, if I go to an italian restaurant I would at least expect more than 1 pasta dish that has fresh made pasta, rather than from a packet. However, the main servings are quite good in size.

Service: 7 As soon as we walked through the door we were greeted by the wait staff with a warm smile and were promptly seated at our table. We were given a few minutes to look over the wine menu which was good and also the wine that the staff recommended was very nice. Food: 5 Until this point everything was very good. So here goes the food review!

Entree: Oysters kilpatrick, the oysters had a slightly different flavour to the standard, Kilpatrick some might expect, this would be due to the sauce used, it is gluten free which my partner quite liked (being a celiac). The oysters still had a good flavour, however, just not as robust as your standard worcestershire style. The presentation was quite poor, the rock salt under the oysters were coated in the sauce and didn't give a clean look, even though this doesn't affect the flavour, with oysters presentation is a must.

Gamberi all' aglio (Prawns with Garlic and Napoletana Sauce), This dish had quite a
light flavour to it, we did enjoy this which didn't overpower the prawns nor was any
individual flavour over bearing. It was a pleasant entree which we would have again.

Mains: I ordered the ravioli ai fruitti di mare, Homemade seafood ravioli filled with lobster, prawns, scallops, crab, calamari and ocean perch served in a light fresh tomato, garlic, basil and extra virgin olive oil sauce. The Ravioli was made fresh 'supposably'... It may have been freshly made from a week ago, either that or it wasn't cooked enough, however, it lacked flavour and the texture was just wrong.

My partner ordered the Risotto al pollo W. chicken, mushrooms, spinach and capsicum with a touch of Napoletana. She too felt that the dish was lacking in flavour and was simply a meal on a plate.

Dessert: We had orderd the Creme Brulee, again there was no care given to the dish. My creme brulee appeared to be lop sided! And both had a slight grainy texture to them. The caramalisation which is normally just on the top of the brulee was around the edges of the ramekins which just gave it poor appearance.

This restaurant really needs the kitchen to pay more attention to the food they send out. People eat with there eyes first. Our dishes came and looked like something I would have expected at someone's house, not an 'authentic' italian restaurant. I'm not sure if we will be back.
