My boyfriend and I dine here fairly regularly and it's consistently good. The steak is second to none that I've tried in Australia.

The chef and owner, Leo, always cooks the steak to perfection (I like mine rare), it is so tender. We both order the fillet, I normally have the 150g that comes with garlicky king prawns on the side, delicious. The steak melts in your mouth, it's such good quality. I keep coming back for the fillet!

It's in a completely different league to the like of Kingsleys chain, that I found massively overpriced. Service is excellent. It's a shame this place doesn't get busier, I'd recommend for everyone to try once it's excellent value.

Came here with 3 other people on a Friday night. Very overpriced, particularly for what you get, very chewy steak. Wine was decent, service was ok. There have to be better South American places in Sydney.

Ok time to write an updated review. This is a great restaurant and one of Sydney's undiscovered gems. The steaks are definitely the way to go here and are probably the best in Sydney. If you like a sirloin then the Baby Steak is the only possible order to make. If you're more a fillet person then the 300g fillet is also highly recommended.

For starters go for either the garlic prawns or the grilled provolone if you're feeling indulgent. The blue cheese butter with the bread is cracking and the chips as a side to the mains are also an excellent choice.

Leo and Marisa's service is always excellent, they treat newcomers as old friends and regulars, well as old friends as well!

All in all I can't recommend this enough, simply the best steak in Sydney bar none.

Came here on Friday night with my girlfriend for her birthday, and was a fantastic meal. Came quite early so restaurant was still quite. Meal came quickly, meat was perfect, the Chimichurri was immense! Staff were very quick to check if everything was ok and came over several times to check if we needed anything.
Next time we visit Sydney we'll be coming back here for a meal, for certain.

We dined here on Wednesday night and I was surprised how empty the restaurant was, we had our choice of tables. I had the garlic chilli prawns, 19.50 and my friend had the prawns a la cream for 22.00 both were tasty.

For mains I had the 200 gram fillet steak, 36.00 with pepper sauce an extra 4.00, the steak was lovely and tender but looked lost on a huge white plate garnished with two lettuce leaves and two slices of cucumber. My friend ordered the pork spare ribs and was satisfied with his meal. A couple of beers and a glass of Sangria which was 8.00 and the meal came to about 150.00 for two.

Came with my boyfriend for dinner last Friday. We had to wait a bit to get a table 'cause they were full, so we had some drinks at the bar. The service was great, very kind and nice! we felt very welcomed. I had the 200 g. fillet and must say it was the best steak I've never had. And their Chimichurri, yummy! I'll definitely come back!

Went there for lunch and we were the only table in an otherwise empty restaurant, despite the other restaurants around the area being reasonably full. The food was forgettable, particularly the steak, fatty and chewy. Perhaps, just a bad day for them, or a different chef, who knows, but will not bother going back.

I am Argentinian , best steak I ever had. I will recommend this restaurant, the service was very friendly and we had a really a wonderful time. It is a pity that I have to go back to my country , but I will tell to all my friends to try it. Gracias por estar !

Came with 3 other friends for dinner! A friend went to Gaucho's in Adelaide (not sure if related to this one) and mentioned it was good and we should try it out. Service was great and we had the most polite but helpful waiter! I ordered the 'Baby steak' and barely managed half of the 500g, but which my boyfriend really benefited from! The first bite was amazing and I wish I had a bigger appetite to be able to finish everything. Other ordered the Parillada but we all agreed that steaks are the way to go at this place. The hot chimri sauce was great and loved the blue cheese infused butter for our bread! A slight dent in our experience was the menu which said 'minimum spend of $30 per head' - which we thought might be a bit offensive to customers as most patrons who visit Gaucho would be able to afford that or more.

I dined at the Gaucho Grill this past weekend with a party of 6. Everyone absolutely loved their meals, the Tres Lomos was a hit! Staff were fantastic, very attentive and the husband and wife team really made us feel welcome. We will definitely be going back there again. The only downfall of the evening was later watching Argentina crash out of the World Cup, we feel for you Chef.
