We tried a lot of dishes when we went here and every single dish we tried was delicious, well presented and in satisfying portions (we had to get some of our food bagged for take away).

The decor and general ambience of this place was very relaxing and comfortable with a real artsy feel. The staff service was also great. The only draw back is the price. Whilst the food is delicious enough to make it worth paying for the prices were at the higher end of the scale. This is not somewhere I could afford to go on a regular basis. Excellent for a special occasion though.

The best, most authentic Japanese I've discovered in Sydney. Delicious agedashi tofu, very fresh sashimi, good tempura and sake too!

The staff are friendly and the ambience is just like a funky lounge-style cafe in Japan. A great place for a little gathering or party. I highly recommend this restaurant.

What a great find! I have been here twice and the food is very tasty, fresh and interesting. Friendly, helpful staff and the freshest sushi I have ever had. A great fusion restaurant.

I had a group of friends come to Garyu with me for my Birthday a couple of weeks ago and we had a really great time! The food was delicious, fresh and interesting - Particularly loved the volcano rolls! They were sooo delicious! Highly recommend!

The service was super friendly and polite. They were highly attentive and helpful. They made great recommendations and even told us that we should only start with a few dishes so as not to over order, and then if we wanted more then we could order more later. The place is cute and quirky with interesting art and quotes on the walls and the dishes are reasonably priced. Will definitely be going back very soon! Loved it!

Very fresh approach to the Japanese kitchen, at first I was sceptical about fusing it with the French kitchen but they have done an amazing job of combining east and west B). I highly recommend trying this new gem of a restaurant out...! Thanks for a great experience Garyu.

Shocking service, very slow. Staff do not understand the menu and neither do the customers. Gst is not included in the menu costs But advice is given in miniscule print. It is a shock to get charged that at time of paying and deliberately misleading

U must pay Cash. Food is fresh and good quality but portions small especially the steamed/grilled fish with hardly any vegetables. What is steamed/grilled fish..? The staff did not even know.
