Ok, Sunday morning breakfast. 4 kids under 7 and 4 adults. Food was ok. ho hum nothing exciting but not bad. Ordered poached eggs for myself and they were cooked thru, not runny at all. When I asked for them to be redone they were so runny it was silly. (the egg white was still clear).
That aside everyone else was happy enough with the food but a word of advice.. Don't send the food back. chuckle The kitchen staff is a bit stroppy. Mind you I guess they all are. It also fit the eight of us easily and that for us is a big thing so some good things and some bad.
I am a new Haberfield local and went to Garnish for a Mother's Day berakfast and was extremely disappointed. Coffee is good but the food was really quite awful. We don't go out much with 2 youngsters, so was looking forward to it. I had a vegetarian breakfast which came out with 1 runny egg sitting on top of bottled capsicum and an overcooked tomatoe. Sorry to say, I won't be going back.
Being locals we often go to Garnish for Sunday breakfast. We love the food, the staff and the owner is a great person as well. Always smiles and always ready for a chat. Kids don't mind going here as they can keep themselves occupied for a while and they also very much enjoy the food.
I've been here a number of times since my first visit and just love it. Its starting to become a bit of a local for me even though I'm down the road in Five Dock. One of the nicest bits is that they have an area setup in the courtyard outside with toys for toddlers which means they are kept busy whilst you relax and have a chat. I love the food and they are very reasonably priced - actually surprised at the prices. Would recommend to anyone and I keep taking people there.
