It is lovely to have a nice bakery in the suburb. I came here to pick up a teacake but was shocked with attitude of the Asian lady at the counter. I can't agree more with regency69 - service with a smile would have been nice. Not only I didn't get a smile but I was shocked with her response when I asked if they have any teacake. Perhaps, she didn't understand me. She came out of the counter and pointed out that those were all cakes they have. She then said were these enough for you!? The lemon cake was nice but would have been nicer if it was more moist. Despite the service, I'll still come back for lunch.

Coffee was beautiful. Chocolate croissant lovely. Almond croissant divine! Will be back to try the pies and tarts. Service with a smile would have been nicer.

If you love French pastries and bread, then head here. The food is excellent. Be warned Christmas orders are hellish to pick up, I have stood in line 40 people long to get my beautiful food. Well worth the visit.

I went to France a few years ago and did a survey of the best patisseries there. This patisserie tucked away in suburban Sydney easily comes into the top ten. Every Saturday morning I brave the crowds for my croissants, pain au chocolats and escargots which are always fresh and made to absolute perfection.

The staff is always willing to let me order in my rudimentary french and the atmosphere with its beautiful yellow and pink walls complete with the seasonal window display (December is always my favourite when the gingerbread town appears, although the Easter display does give it a bit of competition.)

The smell is always enough to get me in especially in the mornings when the smell of the fresh patisseries wafts onto the street. Lunch is always lovely no matter what special is on, sausage rolls are great for the kids, the soups are my personal favourite. Definitely the best French patisserie in Sydney.

Simply the best French patisserie in Sydney. You cannot get better pastries anywhere, including France.

The almond croissant is great! Second vote is pain au chocolat... The big bowl of cafe au lait is a bit too much for me but a cup of cappucino would be a good match for the pastries.

Ganache is Sydney's foremost provider of pastries, bread and gateau. My partner has often said that if they ever close down, we would move out of the area and follow them. The cafe is in the style of "French Bordello", complete with maniquin (Seasonly adjusted) and the selection of pastries is surpassed by none.

Top tempter is the traditionally double baked almond croissant, seconded by the fat or thin pain, escargot, pain au chocolat, petit fours and a selection of individual treats that will satisy the most discerning palate. My only advice is that on Saturday and Sunday, you need to get in early as they will often sell out of pastries. The breakfast special is also very good - and the Rhubarb Jam (made on-site) is the best. Well done on this one
