Been there seveal times, only because living accross the street. The food are pretty good, try the crab roe salad or deep fried chic soft-bone, or the Fujiya fried rice. Rest of the food are just ok, the cocktails are also alright. The only thing need to imporve alot is the service! Every time have to press the button for services (hundreds time) or put up your hand for 5 mins until someone will come to your table and I am not talking about busy time.

The food is great, it's just that the service is not that good. The dish we ordered never arrived and we found out they forgot to put in the order for it. We told them when we pay and they just say 'oh!'. They charged us $1 for a glass of tap water! Usually tap water is free in other restaurants. I do feel ripped off. We keep pressing the buzzers for 20 mins, only wanting to pay for our bills. Definitely not a great dining experience.

I have been to alot of Japanese restaurant and this is my favourite. Lots of space, value on food is worth it. The staff are very friendly.

Basically the food is pretty nice in Fujiya. But just during busy hours, the service isn't very good and you have to chase orders or repeat a few times.

I love the buzzers here to get attention of the waitresses/waiters. A polite sumimasen usually does the trick though anyhow. Food is great - don't order the chicken cartilage if you're not sure (the picture on the menu is deceiving). Great if you're in a big group of friends - individual booths for privacy. They keep orders on clipboards which slide under the table front. Very clever.

I can't say I had a good experience here. Firstly, we had to repeat several of our orders and at least two of the drinks we ordered never even arrived. Secondly, the food would arrive way after the rice, meaning that we could either eat plain hot rice or wait for the dishes and eat them with cold hard rice. I suppose this is more of a service issue but it definitely spoilt the food. And it wasn't even that busy on the night we went. So, I doubt I'll be coming back here which is a shame because the decor is beautiful and with the right food and service, would make a great dining experience.

This is one of the best Japanese restaurants in Sydney - great food, excellent value, amazing ambience, service is slow on busy days but everything else makes up for it. Will put this restaurant as a regular dining spot.

Food arrives very fast, beautifully presented, and reasonable price for Japanese food. I like the doorbells they've got installed at every table. Much easier to get the attention of a waiter that way.
