I am judging this place as a place to eat, not a place for a kid's party. Ok. Gimmick restaurant. Very little effort to make the food either authentic or fresh. It ranged between mediocre and downright poor. The salad, for example was a tasteless overchilled affair. There is simply no passion here for food. It's about $$ and it shows in everything. Oh and it is Way overpriced. If you want to play catch the egg then give it a shot. If you want to enjoy Japanese food, avoid. You won't find it here. Lastly, staff were pleasant enough.

We had the best party here last week, food was excellent, service was superb and in large proportions too, the chef was really entertaining and kept the laughter going, we will definitely be back.

Great quality, fresh food, entertaining chefs, clean and pleasant. We love going here with our young kids - a nice experience for us at the same time as having the kids entertained.

Only go here if you are partying. For those that sit around the cook in the middle of the dining room this place offers a wonderful fun filled experience. If on the other hand you want a quiet night out with your partner or friends this is not the place to go. The food is simple, scarce and underwhelming. Service is only good for the partygoers. Great for kids parties.

I had a great night at this restaurant. The food was fantastic and we especially loved the fish and the beef, the fish was very fresh and the beef was tender and great taste. The service was very good and the chef was very entertaining! We will definitely be back!

Went there with a friend on a Monday night and was expecting authentic Japanese dinner, however, we seemed to have stumbled into a mixed Chinese/Japanese barbecue joint. The place wasn't too busy although there were a couple of birthdays there.

The food was probably the best part of this strange dining experience although even then it wasn't that good. The chicken, beef and prawns were all fairly good tasting although none of the food there was authentic Japanese except the miso soup. Some of the beef was under cooked, the chicken and fish were both good but it was more like a barbecue rather than Japanese. We were served with pancakes which part of one of the birthdays and got the impression that it was included in the sets that we ordered, we didn't see it on the menu either.

The ambience was a little awkward, as it felt we were being joined with a family having a 12 year old's birthday dinner. Although this was the case it was overall pretty quiet and we didn't feel like we were in a comfortable atmosphere.

The service was not too good, the chef was a little aggressive in the way he interacted with the people sitting around the table. It felt like we didn't have a choice in whether we wanted to catch the food thrown at us or just served to us. In the end my friend and me both caught the eggs and rice, however, one of the other patrons wasn't as lucky and got hot rice all over him and didn't look too impressed.

Overall for two people we paid $93 for a set, two drinks and a pancake each which was extremely poor value for the overall quality of our meal as many places there are other places that would have been a more enjoyable experience and only paid half the price.

Really lovely fresh food and the service was good. It was highly entertaining to watch and we were able to chat with the chefs as they weren't very busy. Would go back again but with a larger crowd to try a variety of dishes.

Ate here tonight, Monday so only one other group. Wonderful food, great fun and kids were well catered for in addition to being given plenty of attention during all the action. Will be back soon!

I just love the chef in this teppanyaki restaurant. He has a great sense of humour and spectacular cooking skills. He liked throwing eggs to our table and that was the greatest part of the night. The best part of the food was the abalone although it was a bit pricey. It was just right cooked and fresh. Beef tenderloin was another identical dish for the night. I enjoyed a quiet night out on Monday that wasn't any other noisy groups as other reviews mentioned.

Me and my friends went to this restaurant few days ago for celebrating my birthday. We've got a group of 7 people. I really had a great time there. The food is fantastic. I really love the pancake with icecream and the large king prawn. And the meat is so yami. My friends also like this restaurant very much and they gave me a birthday card for present. I just can not forget all of that.

Everyone there is so friendly and they have a fine sense of humour. They made the atmosphere so high. That will be one of my great memory.
