Firstly the meals were ridiculously small. Secondly, the service was extremely poor, waitress didn't even ask if we wanted wine just plonked the wine menu down and never said a word about it all night. Thirdly, we were a table of four and were seated at a table against a wall with the seats positioned so that two persons were at either end and the other two were on the same side. The table and one of the chairs were unbalanced, required padding underneath to stabilize, the flooring is rough concrete.

Great friendly service. Wonderful outlook (not sure why one of the previous reviewers sat inside, what a waste!). Entrees, beef dish and dessert were outstanding. Let down a little bit by the veal dish which just seemed a bit odd, as the accompaniment was really big pasta tubes floating in a blandish sauce. Would definitely come again but would steer clear of the veal. The bar food was also good.

A very quiet restaurant and a good place to take a date! But don't think you'll get views of the Sydney Harbour, as you can't see the bridge - instead you'll get a view of North Sydney. The service is good, with the waiters checking up on you now and then, yet aren't "in your face". As for the food, it is a quite expensive as expected. The snapper was tasty but a tiny bit on the salty side. The grain fed beef was a little dry. The chocolate tart dessert with coconut gelato is delicious.

$30 for a top quality main? unbelievable. The quality was there, attentive service and great location. The eye fillet ( I later found out was 200 day grain fed) was fantastic all three times I have been.
We shred an Eton mess for dessert, and it was to die for. I can't believe the other reviews. I heard there is new chef management, maybe that is why the turnaround? Anyway, don't go, let it be my secret.

Terrible service, average food, great location. Good place to go for a drink and a snack, but not dinner.

I read the reviews from last year and I have to say this place has really turned around. The eye fillet was top quality and the baby snapper was fresh, and cooked perfect. It was quiet though, maybe too far around or something but that's fine. I'll be back. Hopefully the waiters can give a little better service but this is one of the rare occasions that the food makes up for it.

Excellent food and attentive service however the atmosphere lets it down. It is a small dining area and there were mainly singles eating alone (guests at the hotel I presume) - we were a party of five.

We came for a menu tasting as we were considering having our wedding here - what a turn off! The service and the food were disgraceful. We waited 40 mins to be served raw potatoes and overcooked meat and we had pre-ordered our meals a couple of days beforehand! Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!

What a whole load of nothing! The place was empty to start with. There was two waiters milling around, but couldn't seem to be bothered to actually do their jobs. The girl who took our wine order knew nothing about any of the wines and couldn't get the bottle even open! When she finally did, it was full of little white floaty bits. Our meals were nice enough, but they didn't make up for the boring atmosphere and lack lustre service. Do not bother.

Went in thinking fine dining, not! An ordinary restaurant, not even that - Nothing fine dining about it. Walked out after being offered buffet or snack menu, which was more for lunch time holiday after pool diners.
