Seriously is the resident mannequin dressed in the wetsuit with hard hat guarding the bistro entrance writing these reviews... it's only a pub people! The food is average pub food, but the servings are big, and the prices are good. The ambience is another matter, lots of old school memorabilia on the walls to lose yourself in and a lovely gas fire to keep warm in the depths of winter.

Great pub food. This is essentially what it presents itself as, great tasting middle of the road italian-ish food. All your old favourites, served in large portions, with fast and friendly service. Try the homemade lasagne, or the parmagiana.

I have eaten here many times and I am always very satisfied. The restaurant staff are great, and always make me feel apart of the family, which is great when I bring my children along. The portions are very generous and food is tasty and fresh! Great value and service here, I even get my meal before my drinks thats how quick it is!

I've eaten here a number of times and each time I've walked out completely full and satisfied. The service is quick and always acurate, the food is by far worth every penny its always fresh and the quality is always consistent. I don't know what cutie ruby is on about but I eat the mixed grill everytime and cannot fault it.
It seems like a family run business as the staff all work together as a team, this shines through in their service and quality of food.

Great old fashioned pub with a real historic feel about it. The food is delicious and there are plenty of choices. The wait staff are super friendly, especially Anne and Tara. Have had many good experiences at the Friend in Hand. Highly recommended!

The food here is delicious and most importantly: consistently delicious. I’ve eaten here for more than 10 years and I have never been disappointed. The garlic bread is the best, and I love their spinach and ricotta ravioli. The restaurant is situated in a small pub catering to the local crowd (just to give you an idea of the ambience).

Friend in Hand, No Names Restaurant serves great food, and offers great value for money.

I went here with a large group of 25 people for our annual X'mas party for work.
It was terrible. The waitress was rude and slow. We waited a long time for the food to come out.

Although the servings of food is large, it is not quality food. The food is more quantity than quality. We had large amounts of food on our plate, but not tasty.
I ordered the mixed grill which was overcooked, burnt and had lots and lots of fatty pieces of meat which you can't eat.

It is a rip off. I would rather go onto the main road and get a decent quality food.
I would never go there again.

Simple Italian place that fills you up but doesn't offer anything in the way of refinement. Schnizels are large and you get 2 on plate along with some potato and veg for $18. I ordered a lasagne and although it had a lot of layers, there was not much meat of sauce between them. Still it prepared the stomach for the beer that was to accompany the crab racing, so it did its job.

Looks to be a place where locals who can't be bothered to cook come and like all Italian places it's child friendly.

We go there regularly. Food is always excellent as is the fast & very friendly service. Chicken Schnitzel is our favourite.

I love consistancy! The food is the same every time. Basic Italian food like parmigana and pasta. If you can make it on a Wednesday, go for food and then the crab racing. We had a great night - just don't wear white.
