The Freeway Hotel is very proud to announce the establishment of the all new FREEWAY BRASSERIE featuring a brand new menu with many new and exciting dishes, plus daily "Blackboard Specials", that promise to satisfy every taste and every budget, with your NEW HOST, and fabulous Chef, Mr Peter Fahd.

Peter Fahd has trained and worked in both Australia and France. During three years in Paris, Peter worked as a Chef de Partie in Gerard Besson’s award winning Restaurant in Paris. Peter was part of his team when Gerard Besson won the prestigious Meilleur Ouvrier de France award. Peter also worked at La Tour D’Argent, a world renowned restaurant on La Seine in Paris. On Peter’s return to Sydney he became Sous Chef at the International Sydney Hilton Hotel. He has the passion to create beautiful food for the serious and casual diner and makes every experience an enjoyable affair. Hence the reason behind creating the BRASSERIE at the FREEWAY HOTEL. Restaurants that Peter has worked at in Sydney include San Francisco Grill, Cables, Forty One, L’Orangerie and Barnaby’s. Some reviews that Peter has received include Boats and Fisherman magazine “This is the best tucker I’ve ever eaten in a pub”, and Terry Duraak, SMH, “Quality food at bistro prices”.

Each time that I have been to the Freeway Hotel, I have found that the service has been great, the prices of the alcohol has been reasonable and the food that I have had was first class, otherwise I would not go back at lunch time as I do.

Went up there for a meal the other Wednesday night. So easy to get an undercover park. Top notch food, tastes great. Large meal servings as well so overall pretty decent value. The finish of the interior and furnishings is truly up there if not above any pub in Sydney. I am definitely planning on going up there again and regularly.

We ate with two other couples, we all enjoyed our meals(I had a fabulous steak-cooked perfectly to medium rare). The wine list has plenty of choice & is reasonably priced. We had a great night out.

Great pub food - such a huge variety. Slightly more expensive in comparison to other pubs but the large servings compensate. A nice friendly atmosphere and we liked the fact that there weren't many people there!

Great place for a beer with the boys after work, I've been a few times with Ex-workmates for a few beers and food, and I love the place. You have to go to this place even if it's just once!

What a great pub! If you excuse the fact that it is close to a busy industrial area in Sydney's north, this place is just fantastic. Only open for about 10 months now, the Freeway Hotel is a great spot for everyone, including families. Underground parking, great food, fantastic entertainment and brilliant staff make you want to call it your local. Can be a little slow at times but now they have events every night of the week, things will start to pick up soon. Food is very well priced and drinks are also very reasonable. The size of the venue will ensure that everyone can find somewhere they enjoy sitting. A must see for any passing by and a regular stop for locals!
