I have been to this place twice and will not be darkening their doorstep a third time. Ever. On both visits the food was a quite a few rungs below mediocre, the service verging on abrasive and the ambience akin to a bingo hall. The so called signature dish, Calamari Saint Andrea, was rubbery and tasteless, the Tagliatini reminiscent of salty 2 minute noodles adorned with tired, overcooked prawns and the Tiramisu little better than a Sara Lee interpretation. I therefore can only assume the cute motive on the wallpaper of this establishment of an open mouth filled with spaghetti is portraying regurgitation rather than mastication.

Been here a few times always disappointing. Tough squid rather ordinary lamb and fish dishes, squeezed into a narrow room on the ugliest chairs in Sydney. Always amazed at its popularity.

Excellent Italian eaterie with metropolitan sophistication at neighbourhood prices. The Melbourne influence shows in the welcome deviation from the cookie-cutter Sydney formula. Some may be put off by the menu being written completely in Italian, but the waiting staff are happy to translate and you'll learn a few new words into the bargain. Fantastic bakery/pastry shop is attached.
