To be honest the only thing this place has going for it is its location with close proximity to the footy grounds or if something is on at the Hordern.
As pub grub goes it is overpriced and certainly doesn't deliver. 200gm rump steak ordered medium rare turned up medium-well and was tough as a $5 steak. Crumbed lamb cutlets were tough and full of gristle and the kids menu at $12 didn't get rave reviews either.

Service was very haphazard and it was a quiet Sunday lunch time and not a busy pre football crowd so there was no excuse. We watched an extremely dry and overcooked chicken schnitzel sit on a plate for over 5 minutes before it was finally collected and delivered to a table.

Overall if you are there before a game and need to eat, get a sausage off the BBQ they normally do or leave earlier and go elsewhere in the area.

If you want to wait 50 minutes on a Tuesday night for a "Thai salad" consisting of lettuce leaves, tomato quarters, sliced cucumber, a small amount of red onion and a sliced steak covered with sweet chilli sauce for $15 this is the place to go! While you are waiting enjoy the "distressed" finish on the bar stools and the tables... all adds to the ambience! Make sure you ask the staff when you may expect your meal so they can tell you that it is a busy night.

Very overpriced. We visited before the roller derby and wished we'd gone elsewhere. There are plenty of other good places here. Don't do it. Service - order at the bar. Took a while for us to be noticed. Music way too loud to enable us to talk and the crown seemed a bit edgy for some reason but maybe that was us. Food. Sausages and mash was OK apparently (deep fried sausages). My schnitzel was deep fried also and tasted like it. Overpriced and I felt a bit nasty afterwards. Chips were OK.

I found it hard to rate the food because my corn fed chicken had almost no taste but my partners chicken burger was great, it had some mild spicy sauce on the chicken which enhanced the flavour and the chips were nice and crunchy.

Prices feel like restaurant prices but said well by Jenwin in terms of value, nil issues with service and ambience wise, I know there is an upstairs area which I didn't see but there is an outdoor area but the tables felt a little sticky, that could be the humidity though. It feels a bit dank and dark here.

They seemed to have plenty more patrons than other restaurants there but maybe they're more there for the drink!!

Ok so it's not the greatest place I've been to but there really isn't much around in regards to eating a nice meal before a show midweek. It is a cool pub, however, seems to lack a sense of a good local pub and is maybe a tad dark. It's really a place for a stopover before a show. You order food yourself, so service is pretty much non existent.

The food itself is inconsistent in value, the burgers seemed alright value, however, the main meals section I felt was overpriced for what I got. The food came out within 10 minutes which slightly scares me but is good if you are in a rush. They really need to amp up the eateries at Moore Park so there is more choice and competition.

One word: awful. We thought we would catch a quick bite to eat before a movie; unfortunately we hadn't left much time, so didn't think we could dine in any of the other restaurants comfortably within time. So instead, we chose a quick pub meal.

Pub food need not be crap food - and often isn't. But this is probably the worst pub food I have had for a long time. Anyway, we both had the chicken schnitzel. For $17.50, it's hardly cheap pub food. But it was simply awful. Processed chicken that probably cost them less than $1 a piece, with a piece of cheap ham, cheap sauce, and cheap cheese. Served with undercooked chips.

I find it fascinating any establishment would think this fare is acceptable or going to attract regular customers. Can't really complain about the service or ambience. Staff were friendly enough, but the place does look a little tired.

For typical pub fare this is not a bad option after the game or movies. Steak sandwich and nachos were very generous and quite good quality for a pub. Using the entermainment voucher made the value pretty good too.

This is a pub catering for drinks and a game of football rather than bistro fare. Having said that the service was good and the food was good. We went after the movies. I think the outside area could be better in regard to ambience so, perhaps, somewhere to consider in summer.

Went on a weeknight, tossed between here and Cine. Chose the pub which was pretty quiet. Table of 4, ordered the chicken schnitzel, hokkien noodles, beef burger, chicken burger. Wine list was uninspiring and very limited for such a location. Food came out really quickly, maybe too quickly, which had us concerned. However, not to worry, food was not offensive - just nothing special, just really plain - noodles had your standard Chicken Tonight stir fry sauce with a few bits of veggies added.

Other meals had chips on the side, nothing else, no token salad, not garnished, chips & burger starkly centred on a big white plate. Fillings in the burgers were standard fare, buns were your basic 'in the bag' supermarket style. Filled a hole, but we left thinking ho-hum, how unexciting. Lucky we used a voucher, we felt it was overpriced for what was delivered. Maybe we got the voucher productions??
